Doug Baldwin trade talks

Postby bot » Fri Jul 13, 2018 6:55 am

For team in sig. Guy wants to offload Baldwin for some youth as he contemplating a mini rebuild this season. He sent Crowder, Funchess, 2019 1st (contender), 2019 2nd (his pick) for Baldwin and Jared Cook (I wanted him simply for some added TE depth). I said that was too steep.

Would you do it if I take out the 2019 2nd? I feel like I am losing the value side slightly but the addition of Baldwin could really help me as a contender of at worst give me one more piece to go after a top tier RB.

All thoughts welcome and thanks in advance

id really like the addition of baldwin to your team, but i agree that the price is awful steep. my max would be 2 of funch, crowder, future 1. if he can get more....good for him.

if he wants to rebuild, he'll move him. a lot of guys will tell you that they are looking to rebuild only to stretch max (youth) value in trades...only to be left with a strong young team by the time their done making moves. my guess is that your running into this scenario. why would he not just move him for a solid pick or young player if he could get it? instead he's settling for some guys ranked near 100 and a future 1st. i anticipate both crowder and funch to rise in value this year, and honestly would not trade both and a future 1 for baldwin in nearly any scenario at this time.

I agree, love the idea of having Baldwin as a safety net, but that price is steep. Does he have an aging RBs that you could get instead of Cook?

i agree here, if you could get him to add a buy low rb...i could get on board with an overpay.

He does have Lamar Miller who is looking to move as well but I am not really in the market for him as I think he will be untradeable for me down the road.

What are his other RBs?

I'd counter with Funchess + 2019 1st for Baldwin. That should be more than fair.

QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers

PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd

With your team I'd happily part with Crowder, Funchess and a 1st for Baldwin. Two bench warmers who're very unlikely to ever start on your team + a first for a perennial WR1 who's primed for a bounce back. I'd do it
Dynasty - 9th year, 12-team, Standard scoring, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1K, 1DE/DT, 1LB, 1CB/S - 25man roster / 6 Taxi Squad
'17 Champ, '18 Runner Up, '23 rebuild

QB Watson, A Richardson, O' Connel (TS)
RB Gibbs, Akers, Dillon Carter, Bigsby, Chase Brown, Mcintosh, Tucker, Hull (TS)
WR Metcalf, DJ Moore, Addison, Meyers, Van Jefferson, Collins, Claypool, Mingo (TS), Hyatt (TS), Wilson (TS)
TE Higbee, Freirmuth, Otton (TS)
K Joseph
DE/DT Hunter
LB Franklin Simmons
C/S James
