Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
Hey Guys, i appreciate all your input on this thread. my trade window opens this week, the Watson deal is dead and the majority of the responses on here are in favor of me
trading AROD for 1.4 and 1.5, if i trade AROD i think i can Jimmy Garropolo with the 2.5, make this trade?
QBs would be Ryan and Garropolo
thanks

Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
This probably stems from the fact that the league is a 10 team, and qb is probabky the least valuable position due to the lack of a (severe) drop-off between 1-10.Jintsfan66 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 11:36 am thanks for the thoughts guys, i am a little surprised that it was this overwhelming in favor of trading AROD. After Barkley all RB are a crap shoot and Ryan well he has been inconsistent. I also have Bortles as well but both far below AROD

Re:UPDATE:: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
Fellas, update on this discussion
so i have in my inbox a offer of the 1.4 and 1.6 for AROD, also working on sending the 1.5 for Watson...we discussed this few weeks back on here and the majority said to do this deal. Why am i having a hard time letting AROD go? with all the press on the rookie RB the last few weeks the luster has worn off a bit? or just perception.
I recently got the 1.9 as well, so if i make the trade i have the 1.4, 1.5,1.6 and 1.9 then turn the 1.5 into Watson...this is a no brainer yet having trouble pulling trigger. any additional thoughts?

Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
It seems like you are over thinking it. While its nice to have ARod as a set it and forget it QB, the value being offered is worth way more especially in a 10 team league. Sure, there is risk associated with drafting rookies, but you will be able to grab 3 or 4 of them in a strong RB class. Even if 2 hit you will be set at the position for a long time.
As for the Watson part of the deal, as long as you are still able to get Jimmy GQ at 2.05 you should just hold onto the 1.05. Playing match ups with Ryan and Jimmy might be more work than just riding an elite QB but you should be able to get pretty close to the same production out of the two.

Re: Re:UPDATE:: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
I'd sell Rodgers for the 1.04 alone in 1QB. 1.04 + 1.06 for Rodgers is an easy accept for me.Jintsfan66 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:46 am Fellas, update on this discussion

Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
do not trade for a qb right now. make your picks and worry about it later. there is no need to worry about qb if your starting ryan.
i know its tough to reckon with when everyone is saying that "studs are ticket" but qb's are a quite a bit different.

Re: Re:UPDATE:: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
I'll take a stab at this. Based on your sig, I'm gonna guess that you've had ARod as your easy, set-and-forget QB for the last 5 years or more, and as a fantasy owner you're just attached to him being at the forefront of your lineup. Like it'll be a hard pill to swallow when you imagine setting your lineup each week and not seeing the name "Aaron Rodgers" at the top, all because you traded him for a couple flavor-of-the-month rookie RBs.Jintsfan66 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:46 am Fellas, update on this discussion

Maybe I'm way off base with that. That's only my guess cause I've had a similar feeling with Russell Wilson (I'm also in a 10-team 1QB league). I have many players way more valuable than him, but in the 64 weeks of fantasy football we've had since starting our league in 2014, he's been my starter since day 1 for probably like 57 of the 60 weeks he's been available. For that reason he's probably my most untouchable player for the foreseeable future, even if I get another QB who's as good as him.
Anyway, that was kind of a tangent, but that happens to me a lot where I know I should pull the trigger, but don't have the heart to do so. Sometimes I just love my players man!

Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
trade Rodgers...get Jimmy GQ for mid 2nd if you are worried about your QBs
but i would be more than comfortable rolling out matt ryan every week..
in a 10 team league: 8RBs, Moore, Ridley, Miller, Kirk, Sutton , Pettis, Washington, Gallup that is 16 players. so you would essentially be trading one of these for Jimmy GQ...
personally, i would not trade for Watson...i would rather use one of your picks on Mayfield or Rosen (Lamar if you are a fan)...
good luck

I would do a deal where you get Watson and picks, but there is zero chance I'd want McCoy in a deal. He's around 30, has a ton of mileage and the o-line has be torn apart. Looks like you already made the move according to your roster.

Re: Rodgers value in 1 QB league
thanks for the input guys, i made the trade. Traded Arod for the 1.4 and 1.6 then traded 1.5 for WATSON. I now have 1.4, 1.6, 1.9 and 2.5 to go after a solid back. I had McCoy and could not trade him as yet so i will go with him until wheels fall off. Maybe go for BELL. is he worth 3 1st rd picks? really have not thought about his worth
