For a 16 team, PPR league which side?

Give - Sterling Shepard, 2 (should be late) 2019 2nds
Get - Golden Tate

My team (start 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1TE):
QB - Brady, Case, Bradford
RB - Zeke, Shady, Burkhead, Buck Allen
WR - Demaryius, Crabtree, Kupp, Shepard, Ginn
TE - Gronk, Doyle

I know, it doesnt look like much, but being a 16 team league I feel I have a very competitive team. I think Tates PPR ability makes him a solid low end WR1/high end 2. The 2nds should be in the 26-32 range for both.

Shepard and Tate should be closely valued. I'd rather have Tate straight up, especially if competing, but the two 2nds are enough to put the value on Shepard's side.

I personally am pretty high on Sterling Shepard. He's younger than Tate by 5 years and already shown his potential (look at the 2 games vs the Eagles last year). I think the Giants offense is going to be much improved this season and OBJ returning could help Shep out. Tate is a good receiver as well, but with Golladay emerging, targets may dwindle, even if slightly (20-40 targets). Both players kind of struggle to find the end zone, but i like shepards upside. I'm a fan

I think the two 2nds push the needle enough to say the Shep side for sure.

Shepard's upside is limited by the presence of OBJ and Engram and now Barkley. The Giants have made no effort to replace Manning, so there are a lot of questions about the future of that offense. But Tate's upside is also capped a bit. With the picks, I'll take the younger Shepard but I'm not going to hold my breath for him to ever be more than a WR3/flex option.

Not crazy about either WR moving forward - so the side with two picks is the winner.

I rank Tate and Shepard pretty close especially considering age. Give me Shepard with the two, 2nds.

This is a slight overpay for Tate, but given how strong your roster is for a 16-team format, I'd take the WR upgrade for this season and go for it all. That said, I'd try to get a prospect or 3rd thrown in on the Tate side.
