Josh Gordon Value

I ended up being part of a three way trade, ultimately it turned out like this for me.

I give: Josh Gordon and 3.07
I get: 1.03

Originally was going to trade Gordon for McKinnon but liked the idea of getting the 1.03 over getting McKinnon.

Thoughts on the trade, did I give up on Gordon at the wrong time? I have held on to him for the last three seasons. Finally being able to flip him for a nice 1st seems about right.

I'm a huge Gordon fan and believe he will return to a wr1 this year but you killed it with that trade. No matter how much I like Gordon the suspension risk is always there and 1.03 is a great score, I don't think anyone will say you gave him up too soon with that return.

But yeah I traded Gordon for essentially the 1.02/3(it was actually 1.08 but penny started to slide somehow) and got penny and was happy about it.

It’s a fair trade. Gordon is probably going to be a wr1, but could fall back at any time so getting a high pick isn’t a bad move, but still has it’s own set of risk

Totally agree here. There are just so many guys to share the ball with 3 RBs Gordon, Landry and Njoku.

Value wize I gotta say the 1.03 even though I don't like any of the RBs you will get there and love Gordon but I would have to take the pick just to trade it for a better player , I wouldn't be shocked at all if Gordon ends up a top 10 WR for the next 5 years and the pick ends up a bust.

I think people in this thread are severely discounting the talent and athleticism of Josh Gordon, let alone his proven production when he was on the field. Yes, he is one strike away from gone forever, but his ceiling is higher than any player at 1.03 (which has a what ~50% bust rate?). Casey Heyward said he is the hardest WR to cover, and that sentiment isn't coming from some B level Corner back.
