This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Never played in the SFB or with scoring for 1st-downs. I'm afraid I can't be much help.

Just spitballing, but I'd figure in order to have a shot at 1st-down points you're going to want a balanced offense that moves the ball consistently? Not necessarily a big-play offense, but one with several weapons that allows the team to continue drives regularly. I would think teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Falcons, Saints, Rams, Vikings (depending on Cousins), maybe even the Jaguars would have some good options? Without doing any research, I'd imagine slot WR's do pretty well picking up 1st-downs. Or any true 3-down back you could draft.

Good luck! I just didn't want your thread to go without some sort of response.
14 Team, No-PPR, 20 Man Roster, TD Heavy, TD = 6, FG = 3, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex, K, D

Anyway you can check scoring from the previous year? This would help determine value.

is the .5 first down for qbs as well? I would expect the elite qbs that are less turnover prone to go quickly.

the thing about this league is that he changes the scoring each year, lots of analysts return year to year...so returning owners don't have an advantage...i did find a sheet with some 1st down info though...

no 1st down points for QBs...just RB/WR = .5ppr/.5pt per 1st down TE=1ppr/1pt per 1st down

Vixen, I just talked to a guy that has played in the SFB since it started. He said do not take a WR until round 7 unless a stud falls to round 3 or 4. AB, Hopkins type WR. The first year he was in, he drafted many wrs that he thought were steals. He had the worst team.

frankly tired of hearing about this league on twitter and what not. pretty much a reason for twitter fantasy "experts" to rub and tug each other off. the one good thing is he started a charity for it so thats cool at least

haha, i never tire of it...not in any of the previous years either....the charity is pretty amazing too...i have donated for 3 years...this year i was one of the lucky chosen ones.. but i like hearing about the drafts and comments as well...
i suspect some DLF analysts are in the league as well...

i admit, it is difficult to turn off my dynasty brain for this redraft league
