Thoughts on offer...

Just received the following:

Get: 2019 1st
Give: Parker, JMatt and Burton

Think I will take the deal as I'm out a first round pick next year. What also makes the deal sweeter is that the other owners teams is not very good, so I am hoping the pick will turn into a top 5. What do you guys think? Three big question marks in Parker, JMatt and Burton, so I feel like this is a risk I am leaning towards.

I would take it. For a 14 team league, you have a good team and even though it will hurt your depth some, other than maybe Parker, if he puts it all together, JMatt is kinda blah at this point and Burton could be decent but I think he’s being overhyped right now, Shaheen is still there so I don’t think Burton will get the volume to be a top 10 TE.

Took the deal. Thanks fam. I've always had a soft spot for JMatt but it was one of those things where I just had to move on from him. Agree, it does hurt my depth a bit, but am confident I can build it up a bit come draft time.

Good move if that pick is a top 5, I think even top 7 it could still be worth it.

It's trades like this where people with bad teams throw away their 1sts on hopefuls, as to why their teams stay bad.

The only thing I might have done different is to wait for training camp to get going. I think that there will be increased buzz for each of the players you gave up. Maybe could have cashed in for a bit more, or held onto JMatt & just gave up Parker & Burton...

Yep, this was my one risk/thought as well. I jumped on it quick because this owner loves dealing picks, absolutely notorious for it in our league. Since I was down a 1st rounder in 2019 (lost is a trade for Melvin Gordon last year), I wanted to jump on it. Part of my sort of hates how I dealt all 3 of those guys, as it really hurts my depth, but it is what it is at this point.
