Lynch Value - Rebuild

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lynch Value - Rebuild

Postby BearlyBears » Sat Jun 23, 2018 9:21 am

Took over an orphan in serious need of rebuilding. Was wondering what the value of Marshawn Lynch is - better to get rid of him now for anything I can get or hold him until he's doing well in-season and trade then?

16 team league, PPR

We have our rookie draft in August, so I could still get a pick from this crop of rookies.

Only offer I've received so far is Kenneth Dixon and 2.15, which I rejected...but now having second thoughts about it.

Jump on Dixon and a late 2nd

I'd say Lynch is worth a 3rd. Maybe a late 2nd in 16 teamer

Yeah I would do the Dixon deal as well. Maybe in season you get a bit better offer......but that's a gamble you might not be willing to take.

I'd hold until in season unless it was a top 24 pick. The raiders look like they will ride Lynch early in the season.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I would also gamble on a better offer in season. A playoff team has a rb go down all of a sudden lynch might look real good. 2.15 in a 16 team league is a turd. I like Dixon as someone to have in your bench just in case but he really isn’t worth much in a rebuild or any league for that matter. He could take significant carries and catches from Collins with no tds. Snooze.

16 team league. How many RBs you start? Generally speaking I'd hold til you got a better offer, but the starting requirements would dictate how much value I'd want back.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

He a 1year RB2 rental. He's probably worth a late 2nd/early 3rd imo so that Dixon + 2.15 sounds like more than you're likely to get elsewhere. You could hold out for more and hope his value climbs before the season starts, but even then I imagine that you wouldn't be able to get a whole lot more than that.

Holding Lynch for a better deal. Ended up getting Dixon and that second round pick in another deal though. Now gotta hope Dixon pans out.

We start 2 RBs and Ajayi/Lynch (yuck) are my two starters. But I’m rebuilding. I’ll end up trading them for something mid-season when (hopefully) someone is desperate.
