Pick 2: Chris Hogan, Anthony Miller, Chris Godwin

Postby Jaysof » Fri Jun 22, 2018 1:29 pm

I'm mid-startup right now in a league where you have to start 1 RB/1 WR/5 FLEX.

Here is my WR arsenal right now:

Keenan Allen
Julio Jones
Jarvis Landry
Tyler Lockett (return yards league so he's been a WR1 in two of last three years)
Jamison Crowder
Randall Cobb

Hogan should give me WR2 production at least, but he'll be 30 soon and is a FA after this year. Miller is a rookie in a good landing spot but is already 23 so I worry that he will have no value if he doesn't produce immediately whereas most rookies can afford to take 2-3 years to develop, and Godwin has all the tools and a semi-clear path to targets this year but is still pretty unproven. Thoughts?

P.S. - Any of these guys over Cobb? I have him pre-drafted right now but still have not technically taken him.
1R Dynasty - QB/RB/WR/TE/SUPERFLEX/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX (startup in progress):

QB: Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, Baker Mayfield
RB: Rashaad Penny, Nyheim Hines
WR: Keenan Allen, Julio Jones, Jarvis Landry, Jamison Crowder, Tyler Lockett, Randall Cobb, Chris Hogan, Anthony Miller
TE: Travis Kelce, Mike Gesicki, Jack Doyle

Picks: 13.05, 13.06, 13.09, 14.03, 16.03, etc.

QB scoring: 1 point/20 yards, 0.5 per completion, -0.5 per incompletion, 6/-4 TD/INT, 0.2 per first down
RB: 0.5 points per first down, PPR
WR: 1 point per first down, PPR
TE: 1.5 PPR, 1.5 points per first down
0.1 points per return yard

I would take Miller or Godwin just to sell for a profit later. I feel like both of those WRs are overvalued.

I'm leaning Miller and Hogan right now. I like Miller as a player, I'm just worried that since he'll be 24 soon and WRs can take 2-3 years to fully develop that his ceiling is limited.

I like Cobb to have a solid season but prefer both Hogan and Miller

It’s an 8 copy league with 96 teams and Cobb has already started going whereas neither Hogan nor Miller has. Have two picks coming up soon so I took Cobb because he won’t be there at my next picks and I should be able to get all three (Cobb, Hogan, Miller).

Miller is a late First to me.

Godwin is a mid-late 2nd.

Hogan is an early 3rd, maybe late 2nd at BEST.

Hogan is going on 30 so I'd probably value him the least....I'd take miller slightly ahead of Godwin just on situation. I saw you said you were worried about Miller's ceiling but its actually higher than every other choice.
