1.02 for TE Help

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.02 for TE Help

Postby Green&Gold » Thu Jun 21, 2018 10:48 am

I have 1.01 and 1.02 in this year's rookie draft. 1.01 is a no brainer however I was thinking of leveraging 1.02 to acquire a TE (i am in desperate need of TE)

Options on the table:
1.02 for Ertz
1.02 for Trey Burton + 1.09
1.02 for Njoku + 1.08

What is your current roster and starting requirements? Looking at it blind i'm not a fan of the ideas unless it is TE premium. Surely get better use out of which ever rookie RB here and use a waiver pick up or later pick on a TE

I'm in the exact same boat. I thought about this- and I'm not sure I could give up the 1.02 even for Kelice. The value may be there but I think it is a much better idea to take the top RB left (whoever that is) and figure out the TE situation later.

I will be using 1.01 to draft Barkley which will bring help to my RBs however i was hoping to use 1.02 to either get help at TE or WR. If i use 1.02 to get Burton and his 1.09 I could cross my fingers that one of the rookie WRs are still available. My plan will also to leverage one of my QBs to improve my WRs. The issue is that the QB hungry teams in my league dont have any assets that i need.

Don't do it. Doyle is just fine. Use the 1.02 to add someone elite at the positions that all league members covet -- RB and WR. Use a both Jimmy and Luck to add a true backup QB, another TE or some depth at WR/RB

Yup doyle is very serviceable. Keep 1.02 and draft your favorite rookie behind Barkely (Penny). If you really want a TE then Collins should bring you in a very solid TE in return.

I think you need more help at getting better depth at the other positions than you need a stud TE.

I'd happily pay the 1.02 for Ertz. I would not do the other options though. I'd rather have Penny over Njoku or Burton + a late 1st.
