This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Completed Josh Gordon for 2.03

Postby iceman68 » Wed Jun 20, 2018 9:56 pm

Was offered 2.03 for Josh. I like Josh, but have Landry and Njoku on the team as well.
Did I get enough for Josh? Knowing that he's one strike away from being banned for life.

I probably would have moved him for that as well, but there are still plenty who like him, so you may have been able to gotten more from another owner.

Why can't I get him that cheap I offered a 2nd plus and got denied..

I would want a mid 1st for him in league 2 , I think most people would want a mid 1st though

He's definitely got the talent to be worth more, it just depends on how risk averse you want to be. I'd be quite satisfied getting the pick and drafting Miller to replace him.

It all depends on how your pick pays off. I could see making that deal based on my draft board.

I have been rejected offering pick 7 and 14 together for him this year-- owner said he needed to take a break from our trade talks after that offer cause we were too far apart.

Wish it just cost me 2.03-- he's gonna beast this year and I'd prefer him over a receiver like Watkins.

Gordon can pay off, so if I could add him for a late first or early second he could pay off. Hes shown he can do it on the field, he just needs to stay clean off. I think with all of the talent they have in Cleveland they will make a HUGE jump this season and win a game, maybe even 6 or so. So it’s a gamble that could really pay off in a big way.

You got ripped off, I don't care about the "risk" of him getting suspended. You aren't going to find a player with the 2.03 spot that has the upside to be the overall WR1

This is kind of my thinking but some people just really don’t like to take chances on players and I understand that.

But Gordon has proved enough on and off the field as of late to warrant significantly more than a 2nd round pick IMO

I stand behind Gordon, 2.03 was way low for me.

I’d need 1.05 which I know, no one is paying and that’s fine, I’d rather keep

Gordon will be fine, he looks more focused and wants to stay clean, I think he realized what he could of lost.
I would not worry about his risk.
