Looking to settle a debate that’s getting no where

if you’re best player is D.henry and it’s not close and you already have 7 first in 2019.. are you selling Henry for 2 1st and a 2nd or are you holding him?

I have a owner telling me you shouldn’t sell Henry and he’s a player you build around. I’m in the mindset you always get value for a player regardless of how many 1st you have. And if you’re best player is Henry you are in trouble in our league it’s top heavy

Lewis was one of the most effective RB's in the NFL on a per touch basis last season.

I would be concerned about Henry as a lead back. Not a chance I would pay that price.

Teams don't Pay this kind of money unless they expect big things.

Nothing against Henry here BTW but this is going to be a Thunder/Lighting type situation.

If you're trying to build around a guy that's part of a brutal committee for the foreseeable future, you aren't gonna win very many championships. I would take the picks to aid with my rebuild

Depends on where the picks will end up. If confident they will be mid range at worst I’d consider it. You’d really own that draft next year!! If they’re late I’d hold

As for Henry himself, I still think Henry is talented and he is still young. Dion is good too but I’m not too worried about him. He has high probability of getting injured.

Henry is worth one mid first. Regardless of where the firsts land the picks have more value. Now there is something to be said for the fact that your own first (since Henry is your best player) will almost surely be the 1.01, but unless the two firsts are from the sure-fire 2 best teams then I don't see an issue with getting even more future picks in exchange for the somehow still vastly overrated Henry

Sounds like he already has 7 so this would make it 9/12 1st for next year, essentially taking all of 2019 rookie draft as your roster. I could work out or it could be a bust though. If you had that many 1sts last year I couldn't be happier.

He's also NEVER played a full season before last season and only 54 out of 128 games. He's also never really produced outside of NEP.

Lewis doesn't worry me even a little as a Henry owner and even if he stays healthy he won't be in games the titans are winning. I would surprised if he even matched his rush totals last year.

With that said (and in high on Henry) Id be considering 2.5 1sts for my Henry depending on if I thought one of the firsts would be top2-4

Lewis was healthy last year and finished 2nd in the league at 5.0 YPC. He was effective inside the tackles and outside. He also caught 32 of 35 targets.

Be prepared to be surprised. The new OC is already touting them as 1A and 1B.

I'm a big Henry fan and was discouraged by the unnecessary signing of Lewis. Frankly, I think it says more about their passing attack and weapons than it does about their backfield. Henry is easily worth more than a single 1st, probably closer to 2, but definitely getting two and a future 2nd I think I'd have to move him. That's a very good return for a guy who still has at least some questions about his role this upcoming season.

I don’t think there’s a clear answer to this debate. I wouldn’t fault an owner for building around Henry with an otherwise bad team and a bunch of picks. And I wouldn’t fault an owner for taking that haul.
