Rebuilding Team. Trade 1.09 + Alshon for 1.03? or...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rebuilding Team. Trade 1.09 + Alshon for 1.03? or...

Postby htotheoza » Wed Jun 20, 2018 2:18 pm

It’s a 14 team 0.5 PPR IDP league

I need RB help. I inquired about 1.03 and the owner offered me:

I Get: 1.03
I Give: Alshon Jeffery + 1.09

I would like to keep 1.09 and hope one of the top 7 RBs slip to me at 9, or possibly replace Mike Williams with DJ Moore at 9. So I countered with this:

I Get: 1.03 (and keep 1.09)
I Give: Alshon Jeffery, Mike Williams, 2.09 (Pick 23)

My team:
QB: Stafford, Trubisky, Dalton
WR: Allen Robinson, Alshon Jeffery, Kelvin Benjamin, Mike Williams, Corey Coleman, Rishard Mathews, Keelan Cole
RB: Mckinnon, Duke Johnson, Bilal Powell, CJ Prosise, Gio Bernard
TE: OJ Howard, Eric Ebron
+Various IDP Players
14 Team 0.5 PPR Dynasty
QB: Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen
RB: Josh Jacobs, D'Andre Swift, Cam Akers, Damien Harris
WR: Allen Robinson, Jerry Jeudy, Mike Williams, Christian Kirk, Devante Parker, Michael Pittman Jr., Corey Davis, Parris Campbell, James Washington, Bryan Edwards
TE: OJ Howard, Eric Ebron, Ian Thomas

Value is ok, but first I'd try to see if I can get a proven RB for Alshon and the 1.09 before going after a rookie. Alshon alone should be able to get you a decent RB.

If that is your roster you need to draft Penny or Michael.

Your RB's are horrible for a 14 team league and RB's are really hard to get in bigger leagues. 1.9 and Alshon may be a steep price but it is fair given the league size assuming you have to start 2 RB's.

Screwing around with counters isn't very smart IMO as he may make a move while you are mind F-ng it.

I would not move both WR's. Williams is very good. I like Gallup best in this class but also like Moore. Neither are any better than Williams skill set.

I would consider moving a 1st next year and something to move into the back half of round 1 regardless and draft a WR.

I’m having a really hard time getting anyone interested in trading a running back, like the poster above mentioned, RBs are slim pickings in a 14 team league. Most teams needs RB help, my RBs are come in at 4th worst.

I think I’d keep what you have. From the drafts ive seen there is no locked and loaded pick at 3. The guy you want may fall to 4 or 5 and it might cost you less to move up.

I’m worried about Mike Williams injury, and with his recent buzz it seems like a good time to dump him. A healthy DJ Moore is very interesting for me. I could also pick another RB at 1.09 and wait to draft a WR next year.

I am eyeing Chubb at 1.03 if This deal goes through. And with a strong possibility of him playing behind Hyde, I have another year to tank/rebuild and secure a top pick in 2019.

I’ve reached out to the owners of picks 1-6 and only pick 3 is interested. Everyone else needs RBs. Picks 7 and 8 have worse RBs than me, doubt they would take Alshon

I'd rather just trade Alshon for a pick and draft 2 RB.

I'd start offering him to the 1.05 and keep going to 1.08. I know you said they were not interested, but if you have not tried Alshon straight up, I'd give it a go.

Wouldn't touch Chubb at 3 but plenty like him. Williams is healthy but if concerned move him.
