Consensus in previous post was Team 1 is in a position to make a run, but could use a QB upgrade. I offered a 2019 3rd for Rivers. Owner countered with 2019 2nd (projected mid-late). Is that a fair price and does it make sense for this team.

I would say that's fair value. Rivers is consistently in the top 10 QBs. Yes, he's getting older, but it helps you win now, and if you do that, you make it a better trade for you

I flipped an expired Ben copy (3 year catch and release league) for a Rivers copy.
I like Ben a bit more but felt it was about an equal move with Rivers possible longer longevity.

Better owners ride their QB's not trade them for next to nothing.
Why in the world would any owner trade a top 10 QB only to make a competitor better for a crap draft pick a year or 2 out with only a small chance of success?
I get value and good luck but trading older start quality players for next to nothing is not wise in fantasy. This type of player deserves a start quality player in return.

Good thing for you, I guess, there are a lot of Checker players instead of Chess players in your fantasy league. Me, I would say Good luck with your 23rd ranked QB from week 4 on last season carrying you to a title. I will keep my 8th ranked QB over that stretch and enjoy seeing you lose by 2 to 4 points weekly.
When I see these types of offers or transactions I can't help wonder how many guppies are in that league. In reality it is ONE_SIDED Win Lose offer and anyone with experience that looks at rosters would instantly see the weakness of the offer.

I’d say a late 2nd is fair, he has a few good years left in him. Also they have a offense that is becoming a top offense which can take the next step if Williams reaches his potential to go with Allen.
