Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I have the 1.2 pick and have a dilemma who i should pick Guice or Chubb.
Guice seems to have the higher ceiling and is ranked a bit higher, and has a clearer path to carries, he seems to be the obvious choice.
Chubb being that its a bit of luck involved in hitting on a draft pick, as the owner of Hyde and Duke does it make sense to go safe and pick Chubb locking in the Cleveland backfield knowing i will have the guy who wins out and have a every week starter this year and Chubb to the future when he wins out, and already have his backups.
If the difference was huge between them i would never consider a strategy like this, however the gap isnt huge and maybe here its worth taking the safer route and picking Chubb, and i way off base here and i should take Guice and not look back.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I would say Chubb and Guice have about the same ceiling. If I were you, make a bunch of noise about getting Guice, then trade down a spot or two and grab Chubbyitzchaks wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 8:30 am I have the 1.2 pick and have a dilemma who i should pick Guice or Chubb.

I like Guice a little more, even if I own Hyde
Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
Take Guice, I think he's the much safer option.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I think Guice is the better option to contribute now but I actually think Chubb is the more talented.
You could actually trade back a few and still get Chubb

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
If you're going for it this year I think you have to take Guice. If you are a year+ out from competing it's up to you. I think Chubb has a slightly higher ceiling but a little more risk. I can certainly see the Brown's offence being better than the skin's offence in the coming years too.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I know the general consensus has been for Guice as Chubb has regularly been falling in drafts but I can't get myself to ever be excited about a Redskins RB. He is probably the better option in 2018 but for 2019 and beyond, I'd much rather have Chubb.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I think Chubb is the better and safer option, personally. Guice has youth on his side, but I don't think he's as talented or as refined/intuitive as Chubb.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
not even close, Guice, Penny, Sony, ROJO Freeman >> chubb for me
Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I had the 1.02 aswell. Took guice and ended up getting a 2019 1st + chubb for him so i would look to trade down if you want chubb.
Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
My option is neither.
I like Penny and Michael better by a good margin as true 3 down RB options. On a side note thinking either of the backs you mentioned will push aside the 3rd down back is quite speculative. Both are upper tier in this part of the game.
The league is moving dranaticially to RBBC given skill sets of players.
The two I mentioned both posses the skill to play all 3 downs and be force in the passing game. Given how both of thier coaches value roster spots these two offer a bit of roster relief which could easily be one reason they went round 1 in the NFL with so much talent on the draft boards.

Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
I'd rather have penny and Michel over both of them but thats because Like you I can't get excited about Guice landing spot but how can you not have the same issue with the worst team in football that run the ball one of the fewest times and has one of the best 3rd down and play from behind backs in Duke? For me if you insist on taking one of them at 1.02 I'm taking the lesser of two evils and taking Guice
Re: Guice or Chubb, What strategy do i take?
Smart man. i just can't get behind a RB on the browns....they are always playing from behind and they have one of the best pass catching backs in the league that Chubb will NEVER supplant....I don't hate his talent but how can a RB like him ever be a fantasy force if he doesn't catch passes and is hardly in the game after half time because the browns are down by 14-21 points?Ice wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 1:13 pm My option is neither.
