1.04+Ingram vs 1.05,1.08,2.05,2.07

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.04+Ingram vs 1.05,1.08,2.05,2.07

Postby BigBawseRoss » Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:00 am

is this a fair offer? a one spot move up and essentially ingram for 1.08 and 2 mid seconds.

i like chubb and think he will be who i would take at 4 and see him also available at 5 and my team is a terrible rebuild orphan i took over so i wanna move ingram and thinking that at 8 i would get whoever is left of kerryon or royce and then take 2 WR at those mid 2nds.

is this a smart move for a rebuild or should i just hold ingram and take chubb at 4?

currently have wentz or brady at qb
ingram and a bunch of trash at rb (procise, ivory, ware, white)
Sammy, edleman, wilson, amendola, r mathews, other trash) at wr
Burton and brate at TE
my IDP is actually pretty good.

so my starting lineup on O def sucks and i feel like i need to take some shots and have very few pieces of worth in a trade.

I'd take the 1.5 side and it's not particularly close for me.

I think it is closer than others. 1.4 and 1.5 is basically the same (the difference between getting your choice of two of Guice, Penny, Chubb, Sony). I am not in love with the talent in the mid 2nd so I would try to get a player from him...someone like a Mike Williams?

you dont think a mid/late first and 2 mid seconds is a good price for ingram? i get hes suspended 4 games but he is still worth a lot more than a kerryon johnson IMO

interesting i think it only appeals to rebuild cuz ingram is one of the leagues best and the options at 8,17,&19 are all kinda uninspiring.

I'm with you on this one...and as much love as Kamara is getting people need to realize that the Saints are going to run Ingram into the ground weeks 5-17 (and perhaps playoffs) since this is the last year on his contract. Honestly, if you cant get something else instead of the two 2s (maybe a 2019 1) I would hold Ingram until someone needs an RB mid season and gouge them.

I think you will have a hard time selling him now with the suspension. You can probably get this deal come week 4 or 5 but that will obviously be after your draft.

My team in sig is a contender and if I was offered Ingram for that price I'd easily pass. I think there are other options in that tier that can be had cheaper and carry less risk.

I have Ingram in a couple of leagues and can't get anything more than a single second for him right now. Nobody wants him, unless they can steal him. He is firmly at the level in which he will die on my roster, as I feel like he has a couple years of solid production left.

Given the situation for your team, I would take that offer in a heartbeat if it were offered to me. I would then try to separately add to the 2.05 and the 2.07 and try to move up to the 2.01-2.03, and try to get gallup/miller/Washington. I feel there is a huge tier break at that point, and getting a couple of these guys would kick-start your rebuild.

I'd take the picks especially in a rebuild but even if I wasn't unless my championship window was this year and only this year so I needed Ingram. I don't think maybe people would ever trade their top 8 rookie pick in this draft for Ingram so Its a win trade for you. Ingram is fantastic but he's suspended this year and is 29 on his last year with the saints...not that I see him completely falling off a cliff right away but how long does he have? 1 maybe 2 more years after that? Kerryon or Freeman are so much younger its worth taking a dip in production for 1-2 years to still have a guy that has 2 more years in their rookie deal and has value to trade unlike a guy that would be 32...think Demarco Murray. Also the 2.05 is kinda nice since I've seen Miller go there a lot but if you like M. Williams (I do) you could trade to package both 2nds for him? A lot of people are low on him for some reason even though last year was expected to be horrid since he didn't play 80% of the year.

I don't really think Ingram would have been worth a mid 1st even if he wasn't suspended. I'd take the 1.05 side.
