Antonio Brown for Zeke

Postby Ginge11 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 1:38 pm

A lot of folks coming after Zeke in my dynasty PPR league. Latest offer is AB straight up. Obviously there is an age difference in these two players, but I feel like AB has a lot more left in the tank.

Zeke for me and it is mostly because of the age difference but also the Big Ben uncertainty. AB for this year but I'm not sure how the next few years play out for the mega-talent. I'm going conservative and staying young.

AB for me. I wouldn’t worry about whose throwing him the ball in a couple of years, does it really matter? He’s the best receiver of his generation. Zeke is great but the off field ‘issues’ will always be a corncern for me.

I’m probably in the minority here.

EDIT: Seeing you already have Gurley and Barkley I do this to sure

Yes it does really matter. Look what happens when Big Ben doesn't play. I'm too lazy to look it up, but ABs production goes way down.

Who Landry Jones or washed up Vick? Please, Landry is horrendous. Steelers will get an above average replacement when Big Ben finally retires.

Well most people will be taking Zeke over AB in redraft in 2018 I would assume so that means he's = or above value of AB this year and he is also 7 years younger so....

I'm aware that the replacements weren't good, but my point is that it matters.

This is one aspect I see Nuk as better than AB at, he puts up numbers with trash QB play (ex: Tom Savage)

Not necessarily a predictor of future events but AB has NEVER caught a TD from a QB other than Ben.

Remains to be seen.

Piling on for Zeke- mostly due to age.
The only thing that would sway be is if I had some RB depth and I needed a WR to Win THIS year.

In a vacuum Zeke, but need to know league settings and the roster to provide more useful feedback.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

His roster is in the signature, but starting requirements would be helpful.

I would take Zeke here. Someone mentioned it above, but Zeke is going a few spots ahead of AB in startups. Also, with bellcows being so rare and you cornering the market and having 3 of them (potentially) blocks other teams from having them.

All that said, the Big Ben thing is more a myth than anything. The Steelers completely changed their offense when Vick played in 2015 but when Landry came in and played two games with AB, Brown's stats were 6-124 and 7-106. That is all moot anyway considering that Ben got what he wanted (Haley being fired) and will probably be around for another 3-4 years.
