Bell for Mixon/Chubb?

For team two I have been trying all summer to peel away Mixon from his current owner. He needs WRs more than RBs as he also has Zeke and Chubb. We kept getting close on a Mixon deal but he always backed out. Then Chubb fell to him at the 1.9 and I switched my efforts there but had the same issue. I threw out the idea of shifting focus from my WRs and getting him he best 1,2 punch at RB with Zeke and Bell. He’s entertaining the notion but wanted to get the boards thoughts on this deal.

Is that too much for Bell, not enough or about right?

I'd rather have Bell if I was in position to win. Mixon still carries quite a bit of uncertainty and didn't really show much last year. Chubb is in RBBC for the foreseeable future. Gimme Bell all day for a contender... the other two if rebuilding.

Bell is worth more than that. You will hate losing his 80 plus receptions.

Only 9 players had more receptions than Bell last year. He is like starting 2 players weekly by himself.

In a vacuum I'd rather have Bell....BUT I'm not so sure your team is competing right now....Behind Bell you've got Shady and then Lynch...Trading one RB for two very high upside guys isn't a terrible idea when rebuilding. Mixon>1.02, Chubb=1.05, Sutton=1.11

So 3 firsts isn't great but its not terrible. I'd definitely be looking to shop Bell for multiple RB assets and shopping shady for a future 1st to a contender to add depth next year again at the position.

EDIT: Just kidding I just saw it was a 16 teamer....never been in one but have to assume just about every team has little to no depth so maybe you are in compete now mode. I can tell you though that Depth is more of a priority than Studs in deep leagues like that so getting 2 good RB prospects and a WR prospect for the price of one isn't bad either if you want to rebuild.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. 16 teamer and I won it all last year with essentially this same team (upgraded for D. Adams with the 1.7 and Godwin). My goal this offseason was to get a young RB to add depth behind Bell/Shady/Lynch but it’s next to impossible in this league to acquire young RBs. For context, I texted the offer above to the Mixon/Chubb owner and got a “meh” response.

I think that is a good offer, and the value is about right. But you still have to go with Bell in this situation. I'm an advocate for real life production over potential.

Two things shock me in almost all of my leagues:

1. Bell has undeniably become vastly underrated. People think he's older than he is, his injury history is overstated (he leads the NFL by such a wide margin in opportunities over the past 3 years), and are very misguided about his suspension situation. Plus, he rests all training camp saving up on the wear and tear and then still produces historical level total yard numbers.

2. People who own Bell think his sell window is now. I'd argue that his prime is NOW. He's the unicorn we all hope and dream and pray that all of these lottery ticket rookie picks we drool over one day becomes. Seeing as how only 2 or 3 other players in NFL HISTORY have approached/bested the numbers Bell puts up makes expecting rookies to achieve that a bit foolish, no?

I'd want SURE THINGS if I'm selling Bell. Players that have proven they can play in the NFL and succeed. None of the above can say that right now.

Bump - I see a couple Mixon owners responded but I am curious if any of you wouldn’t sell him with other pieces for Bell? I admittedly have a huge man crush on Mixon and see him in a similar spot that Bell was in coming out of his rookie year (which is when I bought him in both of my leagues).

That team looks competitive in a 16 team league. I'd keep Bell.
