Cousins will be hitting lots of players. Diggs is just one of them. Highly doubt he will be top guy on his own team.

All those really high on Diggs might want to do an in-depth analysis on Cousins target distribution over the last few years.
I smell an exaggeration.

Doug Baldwin is a very good player, but let's get realistic.
He's turning 30 at the beginning of the season.
He has one season in his entire career with more than 80 catches.
He has only two years in his entire career with more than 1000 yards.

Diggs missed 2 games last year. On a per game basis he would have finished ahead of Baldwin in catches, yards, and touchdowns last season. They were essentially the exact same last year and Diggs scored more TDs. Diggs is over 5 years younger.

Exaggeration?
Did you look at his distribution?

If you did then my guess you are bumping up Rudolph and bit and downgrading Diggs and Thielen a bit. Thielen led the team last year at 143 targets to 95 for Diggs.

Cousins top targets last 3 years.

I think Baldwin is absolutely the "win now" piece whereas Diggs is the "long term" asset but one thing this back and forth argument hasn't mentioned is that in 2-3 years Baldwins value will be worthless, he can't be worth more than he is today when you turn 30...you are only getting older and no owner wants to get holding the Brandon Marshall bag and completely losing an asset without being able to turn it into something of worth....in 2-3 Diggs will likely improve going into his prime years (may not be as productive as baldwin in his prime) but after that 2-3 years diggs will be 28 and still hold plenty of trade value while Baldwin will not. You obviously want to win championships so if you think all you have is this year for a window to win then get Baldwin, if not go for the guy that can serve you for 2-3 years and still allow you to turn around and do it all over again. Thats the name of the game in dynasty, gathering up a stable of young assets and churning them into more assets after they've gone through their "prime" years.

FYI Garcon and Jackson both had 1000 yards in 2016. The point is not the quality of WR's although Cousins WR's were good as are the Vikings. The point is there is a large body of work that shows how Cousins reads defenses and spreads the ball around. This is a good thing for a QB and the Vikings and a key reason why he is getting paid enormous amounts of money.

You can use the information as you see fit but from my perspective it is pretty important to understand tendencies of the QB when making decisions in fantasy.

Diggs is more valuable than Baldwin, but not by much. Both are great. Your sig says you're 2017 champion, if I was trying to repeat I'd rather have Baldwin. He will be the locked in WR1 on a team in my opinion that will not be good and will be playing from behind. Targets will be coming his way. Diggs has to share with Thielen, not to mention he is always having nagging injuries.

Baldwin for dependable floor, Diggs for upside. I also prefer the other pieces you re giving up more.

Diggs last 3 years

Baldwin is the WR1 on his team, Diggs is the WR2. Diggs has never broken 1,000. Give the the guy who actually produces over the perpetually injured "potential" guy.
