2019 1st and 2.12 for Chubb?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2019 1st and 2.12 for Chubb?

Postby Mefisto » Mon Jun 18, 2018 11:02 am

Sorry, one more advice question. We are in the middle of our draft for team 1 in the sig and Chubb is sitting at 1.10. doubt he makes it to me at 1.12. would you trade my 2019 1st (won title this past year) and the 2.12 to get Chubb?

Yes I would. Next years class looks a lot weaker and more shallow than this class. I have no problem going to get your guy. Better to miss on your guy than watching him be awesome on someone else’s. Not sure that gets accepted though, but might and is a good place to start.

Why would he do that? That's not a legit offer.

Your 1.12 and next years 1st would probably do it.

How has the draft went so far? Surprised Chubb is still there and assuming the 1.10 owner is looking at him. I'd offer it up and see if he takes the deal.

No way the 1.10 sells for a 2.12 and future first.
It would take the 1.12, 2.12 and next year's 2nd to maaaaaaybe get a bite.
I would avoid selling two firsts to move up two spots

So, I'm in a division with 2 other very good teams, and 1 of us is not going to make it out (top 2 in the division go to the playoffs). Probably a 33% chance I don't make it out. Does that at all change the calculus in trading my 2019 1st rounder and 2.12 for Chubb?

I don't care where you think that future pick may fall, if he's foolish enough to accept it's heavily in your favor. You're better off following the advice to trade 1.12 and a small piece to move up.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
