Almost on the Clock

Postby Mefisto » Mon Jun 18, 2018 10:20 am

Hey all, I'm almost on the clock at 1.12, 2 picks to go. This is a 12 team must start 2 QB standard scoring league. If one of Chubb or Lamar fall to 12 I'm grabbing them. If they both go, i have no idea who to take. I'm torn between Kerryon, Freeman or a WR. Thoughts? For team 1 in the sig. Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why Chubb is falling in all these drafts. Clearly there are a lot of reaches at RB this year...

Of choices given, take your favorite WR.

Agree 100%. I think Chubb is the second most talented RB in the class behind Barkley. Bad situation, but if he falls you have to take him.

Yea, I don't get the Chubb hate either. If either him or Lamar fall to me my decision is already made up. I just want to have a backup plan ready so I'm not that guy that takes forever (we have 12 hours to make a pick).

I don't think his situation is as bad as some seem to think it is. That backfield supported two RBs last season. It's just a matter of beating out Hyde. Ultimately he will have a much better career than guys like Penny and Michel who will be ok only in the short term.

Ridley. However, as your league is non ppr, i would at least take a look at Royce Freeman, see if you like what you see. He could be good in Denver

You are much much weaker at RB than you are at WR, in a weak WR rookie class i think the top 8 RB's should go before the WR's. Take Freeman or Johnson if Jackson or Chubb isn't available. You may still get a decent WR at 2.12 but no chance you get a top Rb at that spot. I assume baker and Rosen and Darnld have all been taken?

I see, well I'd highly recommend grabbing Johnson or Freeman over WR's....your team needs it more and you can almost certainly take either of them and trade for any of the WR's in this years class + for them after the season.

Yes, i agree that RB is my weakest spot right now and Lamar should have went before Allen. That's why my top 2 are what they are. I'm just not sold on Kerryon or Freeman. Though if I'm going RB I think I'm leaning Kerryon. Why are people so high on Freeman? Just cause he has little to compete with right now? Doesn't Kerryon have a similarly "easy" road to touches?

I like Freeman's chances a lot more than Kerryon in Detriot, where the running game hasnt been fantasy relevant for years past Theo Riddick in PPR. Add Legarette Blount, and the fact the Lions O flows through Stafford, I dont see much changing there in regard to RB fantasy success

I think its situation more than anything. The Broncos have been able to support a solid RB in the past whereas the Lions have struggled for the past decade it feels like. Also Jim Bob Cooter seems to prefer running "through the air" with short easy passes to Tate and Theo. I like Johnson's talent a ton and reminds me of Arian Foster as a great all around RB and the lions traded up for him so I'm higher on him that Freeman personally but I'd still take Freeman over any WR....I'd consider Moore at 1.08 but I can imagine a world where Freeman takes the job and gets 1,000 rushing yards, I can't see a world where any rookie WR takes the reigns and have 1,000 receiving yards in their rookie year.
