What Side You Got? Melvin, and ARob for Cooks+

Postby AlbertaPrime » Sun Jun 17, 2018 7:29 pm

Was just offered the following:

Give: ARob and Melvin
Get: Brandin Cooks, 2019 1st and 2020 1st

My first thought was no on this but curious what the community thinks. This leaves me really thin at RB. I really do not feel comfortable running with Alex Collins and 2018 1.7.

Is the general consensus that ARob = Cooks? Or do you guys favor one versus the other? ADP has them pretty close.

So this is essentially Melvin for 2 1sts. Personally I wouldn’t do it, but I’d rather have ARob and Gordon. Non-ppr makes it closer, but I’d still lean that direction.

In non-ppr, Melvin is more valuable than the two first rounders (especially considering next year's RB class looks thin).
10 team PPR league, 24 man rosters, 5 man taxi, 5 man IR
QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex
QB: Anthony Richardson, Tua Tagovailoa, Sam Howell, Trey Lance, Hendon Hooker (IR)
RB: Saquon Barkley, Rhamondre Stevenson, Khalil Herbert, Antonio Gibson, Gus Edwards, Jerome Ford, Kendre Miller (TX), Roschon Johnson (TX), Pierre Strong (TX), Tyson Chandler (TX)
WR: Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, DJ Moore, Diontae Johnson, Chris Godwin, Terry McLaurin, Kadarius Toney, Jayden Reed, John Metchie, Justyn Ross,
TE: George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, Chigoziem Okonkwo, Sam LaPorta (TX), Isaiah Likely, Luke Schoonmaker (IR)

Draft Picks
2024: 1st
2025: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Finishes:
2017 - Last
2018 - 2nd
2019 - CHAMPION
2020 - 7th

Keep your guys. If the 2019 pick projects top 3 then this is a close offer but that’s a lot of risk.

I have heard on more than 1 occasion that the 2020 class is better than 2019. Now I don’t know enough about either to have an opinion and I personally feel it’s difficult to say with certainty which is better at this point in time, but if you’re someone who is in tune with devy and concurs, than a 2020 could be more valuable than 2019.
