Fair price?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Fair price?

Postby BradysBunch » Sun Jun 17, 2018 3:16 pm

We just started our rookie draft via email. The 1.5 is on the clock. Draft has gone.. Barkley, guice, Jones, and Penny.

I have the 1.7 and 1.8 also. I offered m. Williams and t. Coleman for the 1.5 and 2.5. fair? I am targeting Chubb. I am not a fan of Williams with his back issue. Do I need to swap out kupp for Williams? His team is in a win now mode so he may not take him and the next pick has said he's taking a wr ( I will believe it when I see it). So Chubb could fall to me anyway... I would like to just make this trade happen while being fair. But I am not touching any of my starters. So..is what I offered fair..or do I need to swap kupp and Williams? Thanks.

Well I'd probably value Williams over Kupp so....

But yes thats a fair offer if not a little steep...I think Coleman's value right now is about 1.06-1.08 and M. Williams should be valued as a top 3 WR in this year's rookie draft so probably around 1.11-2.01

I wouldn't accept that offer if I had the 1.05. I don't value williams very much, but coleman is intriguing as a FA next offseason. I like your vision of getting chubb, I am not sure coleman can hold up to everydown work and would still lean on the chubb side. Kupp killed it as a rookie, I would expect the same this year with slight regression. your initial offer may work, but I doubt it.

I think you'd be giving up too much with either guy. Stay where you are and take whoever falls between Chubb and Michel.

It’s a herniated disc in his lower back which devastated his rookie year, as detailed in many threads last year before the season and people were still all over him at 1.6, 1.7. It’s significant and you should be concerned. I would probably pay a 3 for him, but honestly wouldn’t even make the effort. So coleman for 1.5? I’d pass pretty easily. Everyone assumes FA will reap some magical destination where he becomes zeke. He might have a lousy year, get hurt, and be behind twest on the saints. Give me 1.5 by a substantial amount.

It is definitely an offer that I would make to try to land Chubb.

Not sure coleman and Williams/kupp gets it done. If i weré trading away 5, id be looking for a better player or just make the pick.

Id feel like you weré trying to sell me 2 guys i valued as early 2nds for a top 5. Doesnt hurt to send, but i think its a Tough sell right now.

Honestly I'd almost rather have Michel > Chubb. I picked 1.07 and Michel went just before me, with me ending up with Chubb. I like Chubb, but think Michel has top12 potential year one. Don't give me none of the Pat's RBs crap, listen to some of the DLF, Dyno BluePrint, Dynasty Nerds, DTC pods and you will see this is a fallacy.

With that said, Tevin and Mike is extremely solid of an offer. It may be too much and you may be selling low on Mike, but judging by your WR depth you don't at all need another WR2/3 type. KUPP has hit however, and KUPP + TEVIN = GROSS OVERPAY for 1.05. I'd much rather take whoever falls to me between Chubb and Michel than pay that price, and frankly, I'd much rather keep Tevin, Mike and Kupp and take either back. If you really want Chubb, you can easily trade Michel or something else for him and maybe get something on top from the frustrated Chubb owner Week 5 when Bye's hit.

Keep in mind Tevin figures to be "next years McKinnon". Someone's going to pay him to be either the lead dog or lead a committee.

I’m looking at your team and roster settings and I just don’t see a big enough need for Chubb. You’re running Barkley Hunt Gordon Penny Coleman, starting 2 RB and 1 Flex.

That said, Coleman and Williams likewise have kinda minimal value on that roster, buried so deep. So I could see doing a trade here from the standpoint of “who cares, I’m getting my guy”

All that said my final answer is, this is why I don’t like 10 man leagues haha

I'd pay it for Chubb. You're not giving up any vital pieces, those pieces have enough perceived value to make it a win for both parties, and you get your guy. Plus I see you have to more 1sts and 3 2019 1sts to replenish at young WR without a significant history of back issues.

We talked today and is going to research Coleman. He hasn't looked at anything since last year. We are thinking 1.5 and 3.5 for Coleman and kupp. Non ppr, I think it will be a win win...if he decides to go with it.

I think it's a win for you. Both Coleman and Kupp lose value in non-PPR. I'd much rather have the 1.05 to grab Michel or Chubb.
