Update: Trade Adams for Hunt (formerly Trade away Dalvin)

Postby jcc6fd » Sun Jun 17, 2018 11:34 am

UPDATE: Owner is now interested in the following
I Give: Adams + something small (TBD)
I receive: Kareem Hunt

In a standard league feel like this could be a big get. Is my starting lineup better with LF/Cook/Hunt or LF/Cook/Adams, and does this tade make sense from a dynasty perspective?

Old trade details: you can ignore.

Team in sign, Standard (Non-PPR) scoring. New league owner wants to get Dalvin Cook from me. My RB depth sucks and one of my goals is to get one more solid RB option. He offered the 1.06 and Coleman which I declined. He then asked what it would take to get him. Was thinking of countering by asking for the 1.02 and Coleman for Dalvin.

If I could make this trade is the value right, and does it make sense for my team? I’d take Guice at the 1.02.

I have the 1.05 so I can maybe get my 3rd RB in the draft.

He also says he’s interested in Davante Adams. Trading Adams would be dealing from a place of depth but I don’t think I’d get appropriate value back for him, especially if I’m asking for an RB as the main piece back.

I would keep Dalvin. Adams value seems to be way high at the moment, I would look to take advantage of it.

I voted option 2, but I’m good with option 1 also as I like Guice more than Cook, but I expect to be in the minority with that.

i wouldnt sell adams at a discount he is aaron rodgers wr1 cant sell him for any thing less than mike thomas or mike evans would yield you. I would trade dalvin for guice and coleman tho you recoup youre 1.2 from last year and add coleman. seems like a win for you and you add depth.

Yeah definitely do sell Adams, your WR core is very very nice I'd want to keep those young assets intact. I'd probably make the trade of 1.02 and Coleman for Dalvin as I think its a smart depth move for you. If he's not interested in moving the 1.02 and Coleman then I'd probably hang tight, you'll get either Michel or Chubb at 1.05 and that's still a solid RB prospect.

Adams should be worth Coleman and 1.02 just like Dalvin is so if you can make that happen I'd do that as well but again don't sell Adams short, he's going to be a great WR to have for years to come.

Guice and Coleman is really good value for Cook. Obviously trading Adams would be ideal, but not if you're not getting fair value.

Love Cook more than most, partly due to Vikings homer, and the fact I had him at 1.1 last year. Other than off the field his main concern and why he slid in the draft was the questions about his ability to stay healthy. He looked good, then tore his acl. Will he be as electric after the acl tear?

I’m moving him for the 1.2 and Coleman. That’s a good return on a healthy RB. 1.2 plus 1.5 can buy you a lot of players, or you can take your two favorite young RBs in this draft and have coleman on top. 1.2 gains value going up to the draft. I like this move and love cook.

1. You're RB situation is not as dire as you make it out to be. LF and Dalvin are two top 10 guys. Yes, you have minimal depth, but you don't really need it with your WR's. You won't be flexing any RBs.

2. You're WR's are absolutely stacked. And I don't think Adams is the guy you should be selling if you don't think you're getting fair value in return. Adam's startup ADP is 16. That means you should be able to get a guy like Hunt, Mixon, CMC, Freeman. If not Hunt, Your next target should be CMC even though it is standard. I might look to shop B. Cooks given your depth instead, and go for a mid-range RB2... D. Henry, D. Lewis, type player + another piece or two.

3. At 1.05 You will end up with one of RoJo, Chubb, Michel, Penny. Any one of these 4 should be awesome as an RB3, so I would totally stand pat unless you get the value you are looking for.

Man, I just noticed how shallow your league is. You def DO NOT need an elite RB3 with LF and Cook. You only start 2 WR's. I would actually look to package Cooks and Adams for an AB and go win a championship.

You don't have to trade just because another owner wants you to.
I don't see added value in any of the trades you're considering.

I'd much prefer to grab a RB at 1.05 to pair with Cook and Fournette.

Who do you want at 1.02 that is guaranteed to be so amazing this season? Or better than Cook or Fournette? You'd be hard pressed convincing most that any of the rooks at 1.02 has a better upside than Cook/Fournette.
