Josh Gordon Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Josh Gordon Value

Postby Zielenieskij » Sun Jun 17, 2018 8:33 am

I have the 1.7, 1.10, 1.14 and 2.2 in my rookie draft and am in heavy need for a wr.... currently at the 1.6 and no wrs have been drafted. What is fair value for josh Gordon and would you rather draft one of the Rcs????

I would think a mid first should be enough for Gordon. maybe a 2nd on top of the 1.07. You take on a lot of risk with him. That being said, I think DJ Moore should be valued similarly (higher floor, lower ceiling) so I think he’d be a fine pick

depending on how your draft plays out, the best i would offer is 14. as you sit, your looking at moore, then 1 of kirk, ridley, sutton, at 10...14 is the most id be willing to pay right now...and id probably bump it back if you could get 2 of the 3.

gordon is a fine player, but the off the field issues are a headache to deal with. a fine buy if you can get a bargain, but very hard to put much stock in a player that hasnt been able to play because of inner demons or lack of maturity....either case is a red flag. we all hope he turns the corner......

we dont have to look much farther than the reports on martavis bryant right now.

As someone who's given a mid 1st for Gordon in the past, I'd strongly advise against giving a mid 1st for Gordon. I might give 1.14, but give me the rookie at 7 or 10 with much less risk.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I like Gordon over any rookie WR and would easily
Pay 1.07. You might have to add the 2nd like jcc6fd says

I recently traded my Josh Gordon share for the 1.08 but I only sold it so low was because Penny somehow fell that far and I had to make a move for him. Typically I'd want the 1.04 range for Gordon.

How has this guy held 1st round value after not even playing barely a snap for 2 years and being a known flight risk lol. Its beyond me.

hes one of the best WRs. he also played several games last year so def more than a few snaps.

hes a flight risk? no he just used to get effed up all the time and now he doesnt, or is better at getting away with it lol.

Because he is still 27 years old and was THE WR1 the last time he played a full season and now he arguably has the best QB in his career throwing him the ball, besides him getting suspended whats not to like about him? As long as you don't think he'll relapse then he's as good a bet as anyone to produce.

Id grab Moore with your 1.07. Then see what it would take to get Gordon. I would definitely bw willing to spend one if those 1sts plus the 2nd to get him.

Gordon may justify this price tag, yet.

Right now, though? You are smoking his, seemingly abandoned, stash if you think he is worth anything more than a low 1 or high 2!

As a JG owner, as tempting as it is to get the 1.04, Id still hold onto JG. If he comes back playing lights out id be kicking my self. I would be as mad if I kept him and the guy I wanted ended up being good.

This. Im not sure i would even pay a mid 2, let alone a high one.

He still has his fans it seems, so I'll happily let them get on with throwing 1st round picks away on him :D

What I'd be willing to pay and what the Gordon owner would probably ask for would not be very close. In your case, not sure I'd even pay the 2.02, but I'm sure that wouldn't be enough anyway.
