Adams for Mixon + 2019 1st & 2nd

I was offered Davante Adams for my Joe Mixon and a 2019 1st and 2nd. I'm not the *biggest* Joe Mixon fan at this point but it would leave me rather thin at RB and I feel like I am giving up a bit too much but I really do like Adams. The picks are most likely to be late picks. Thoughts?

Mixon easily. But im really high on Mixon and far lower on Adams than most

A) your team is good. Those picks will be late, so they hold far less value.
B) adams helps your team far more in the immediate future and beyond. Way better shot to compete with Adams vs Mixon this yr.
C) Future outlook for Mixon is murkey at best. I’ll glady pay a late 1st and 2nd for the security that Arods top WR provides.

Agree with everything except C. Mixon is talent wise a top 10 back and his OC has already said he will be the bellcow. His 2017 season was just a horrible situation to be in.

Mixon side represents more value, in my opinion. Mixon objectively had a better rookie year than some people think, his arrow for '19 is pointing way up, and on top of that you're giving up two quality picks, one a potential blue-chip.

Adams gets a lot of love right now and deservedly so to an extent, but this will be the first year he sees religious double-teams. If the Packers don't get one of their mob of Day 3 and undrafted WRs to become a credible threat on the other side of the formation, seems to me Adams will face Julio caliber blanket-coverage without Julio caliber physical ability to beat said blanket-coverage.

No offense to the OP, but his team isn't that strong. If Kamara comes back down to earth and he doesn't have Mixon, OP may lack a true every-week RB1 on his RB chart, and his WR chart relies on a fading Larry Fitz without Bruce Arians and an A-Rob that's coming off a serious injury with a very green QB and some question as to whether or not his '15 season was a fluke.

C) Future outlook for Mixon is murkey at best.

How do you figure that? Insofar as any RB's long-term outlook can be confident, Mixon's is much better than most. He seems to be the only 3-down RB on that depth-chart and Bill Lazor and the Bengals have all but chiseled it in stone that they want Mixon to be a feature-back for at least the next few years.

Too much on the Mixon side IMO. If it helps, I recently traded Mixon/DJax/RMatthews for Adams, which is obviously a lot less than a 1st and 2nd to bridge the gap.

I'm not as bullish on Mixon as some but I also don't value Adams near as high as many on this board do. I'd do a straight up deal and maybe add a piece. But that's it.

Tougher in ppr because Mixon is good receiving. I think I'm still leaning Adams here. WR-1 for the best QB in the league in his prime is tough to go against. Mixon wasn't good rushing last year, full stop. Volume aside, is his situation really better this year? Perhaps. I think Mixon has potential to be a rb-1 this season, but I'm not buying into him long term.
