This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mixon trade

Postby sjcourtney56 » Fri Jun 15, 2018 6:45 am

Standard league full ppr but we just took over a pretty weak team so it will most likely be a slow process of a rebuild...however I am being offered this trade:

Joe Mixon & 3rd round pick

for

Jarvis Landry and Lamar Miller

I realize this may be beneficial this year but we aren't winning a championship this year and long term I am thinking of declining the trade, I appreciate any thoughts.
Team:
QB = Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton
RB = Todd Gurley, Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Kareem Hunt, James Robinson Lemical Perine
WR = Michael Thomas, Stefon Diggs, Mike Evans, JuJu Smith-Schuster, AJ Brown, CeeDee Lamb, N'Keal Harry, Sammy Watkins,
TE = OJ Howard, Mark Andrews, Ian Thomas, Eric Ebron

Landry/Miller for me. One of the two should perform better than Mixon this season and long term you should still get plenty of production.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Seems like a fair deal. I'd probably look for more for Mixon though, as he has some very enthusiastic fans.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

landry and miller for me. miller will be locked into good usage for the foreseeable future with foreman on the mend, and landry is a ppr stud. landry is still only 25 and miller is 27. for this upcoming seaosn you might have a slight drop in rb produciton but a big leap at WR
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

Value seems fair. As much as I like Miller though, I'd try to swap him for something else since you're not competing.

How are you not competing? I would post on your league message board that Mixon is for trade. Many people think he is a cant miss rb that already missed last year. Let the excuses begin. Gio looked better in the same offense. Somebody will overpay what you are already being offered.

Mixon for me. Miller won't even be the starter for the Texans next year, if Foreman doesn't take the job then they will address the position in FA or Draft I'm very very certain of that. Miller is 27 and has been extremely inefficient since joining the Texans. I like Landry but his role could be very different from what we've seen from him in the past. Browns have a crowded skill positions team with Gordon,Duke,Njoku,Coleman all competing for targets...I still think he leads the team in targets but what if he only gets 120 targets instead of 160 and his TD's go back down to his career average of 4-5? I'd take the upside of the bellcow back thats 22
