1.1 for Cooper + JuJu

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

That's more than a little presumptuous. I have never been one to suggest giving up Bell, OBJ, or Hopkins. I've been on the slow-down train since the get-go.

Just because the majority of people value Barkley that high doesn't mean that I'm overreacting.

I would take this deal, then flip one or two of your lesser backs for WR help.

Trading to flip is a huge gambit. Can pay off big, but I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to assume that you will ALWAYS be able to cash out in every single league.

In fact, my experience is the opposite. If you make a trade because YOU want what you're getting back, then its value will tend to increase because others see that the value that you do. If you make a trade to try to flip, then its value decreases because everyone knows that you don't really want what you got back.

Look, I'm on record preferring Cooper and JuJu. If you, OP, really prefer Barkley, then go ahead. Even though I would never do it, I don't think that it's insanely crazy. But, I would NOT make this trade on the presumption that you'll get more for 1.01 later. If you don't, then you'd have aced yourself out of two legit WRs.

If your goal is to acquire 1.01, then this is the [overpay] cost. Go for it. If you goal is to trade out of Cooper and JuJu, then I would simply put them up on the message board -- they'll each fetch something nice on their own and might even fetch something more than 1.01 from the owner in your league who values them like I do.

I am gratified by the level of discussion raised by this trade. I already did this trade, but was torn by it, so wanted to bring it up there and see what the forum thought about it.

I agree that Amari and Juju both have the potential to be WR1, and lose this trade for me. And Barkley is an unproven rookie despite his hype. I usually err on the side of an elite RB over WR though, so a chance to flip a couple of current wr2 for a possibly elite RB1 appealed to me, despite knowing that I was killing my WR depth.

I did not trade to plan on flipping Barkley for a profit. The leagues I participate in have mostly savvy owners for the most part. I am planning to flip Ingram/McCaffery for a WR if I get a chance.

I would not do that deal. It would seriously break your team. Julio, Diggs and Gordon is nice, but not as nice as Julio, Diggs, Gordon, Cooper, JuJu assuming you also start 2FLEX, that is a start it and forget it lineup of 5 guys, NOT TO MENTION you have Gurley and CMC!! two RBs and fantastic depth piece with Ingram (he's out first 4 games but you don't need the depth then). Do not make the trade.

IF ANYTHING I would try to add something on Julio (something small) and get it done. I don't believe in breaking the bank for SB, call me a minority.

I'm with Hudini. I feel the hype is out of control. Everyone is making him top 10 overall and not that he isnt capable, but he hasnt played a single NFL game yet. If he spends his career in the RB10-RB20 range I'll laugh at all the people who sold the farm to get this guy off of hype

Same, but you have to realize that sometimes you have to take that gamble on the possible generational talent, but this is not that situation.

Take the deal. You have just under 3 months to make some moves for wrs. Only problem with a relatively cheap deal like this, is that it may set a lower market value throughout your league
