1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
in a 2RB, 3WR start league PPR
RB: Gurley, McCaffery, Ingram, Hyde
WR: Julio, Cooper, Diggs, Juju, Gordon, Goodwin, Westbrook, Enunwa, Taywan Taylor
I know it hurts my WR depth a lot, but I don't have a 1st, and I could be looking at not much behind my starter RBs after this year.
Cooper has a lot of potential, but not shown on the field yet. Juju was a grand success his rookie year, but wonder if can become a WR1 while AB is there and then he has to deal with a QB transition. That said, Diggs might be the only long term WR left, with a suspect Gordon and an aging Julio left.
Thoughts?

1.1 pretty easily. Barkley's hype is ridiculous. He's worth a lot more than Cooper and Juju right now

Re: 1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
First off: Cooper did show it his rookie year. I think he was PPR WR14(not 100% sure). He had a bad year last year and hasn't showed his top 5 potential.R2D2 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:50 pm in a 2RB, 3WR start league PPR

Next, I've seen the 1.01 go for even more than that because the hype train on Saquon is unstoppable (could be true, but he is still a kind of unknown).
As for your situation. I would hold as you already have Gurley and CMC with Ingram lurking in the back. I would keep the WR depth in a start 3 WR league.

Current value would suggest 1.01, but I think it's a bit much and doesn't make a lot of sense for your team.

Re: 1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
Wow. I'm on a different planet, apparently.
No way that I'd make this trade. Cooper and Juju have each shown WR1 potential -- Cooper doing it for a good part of two years and Juju flashing his rookie year. Both have downside, of course.
Barkley also has RB1 potential. He hasn't shown it in the NFL, but I'm willing to grant it -- he seems legit. Why, though, do so many of us never consider that a draft pick has downside, too??
For me, easily the two WRs. Worst realistic case, you have two young likely WR2s for about a decade. Best case, you have two WR1s for a decade. Most realistic, two WRs who hover between WR1 and WR2 every season. No way that I'm trading that for any single draft pick. None.
*Note: I'm also lower on Cooper than most.

Re: 1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
I'm with you. Cooper and Juju have both shown immense talent. Saquon, as much as everyone loves him(myself included), is an unknown. He has all of the tools and looks like he could be a generational talent, but we can't say already that he is. Look at Trent Richardson. He was supposed to be an absolute beast, and look how that went. David Johnson was taken I'm the second round of a lot of his rookie drafts, and now he's going top 6 in startups.moishetreats wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 7:50 am Wow. Ok, after that long rant, my point is that although I believe Saquon could be a generational talent, don't bet the farm and mortgage your future WRs (who've proven they can perform in this league) for an unknown.
Just trying to slow the hype train down a tad before people start getting goofy and trading studs for Barkely.
I've said my piece, good luck to everyone this year.

Coop & Juju are two of the most overrated players around.
While I think the Bark hype is out of control; I would rather have him.

Re: 1.1 for Cooper + JuJu
So with all of the "Barkley is the second coming of Jesus" threads and opinions out here and owners willing to give up actual elite players like Bell, OBJ, Hopkins, and others for him - THIS is the trade people are saying not to do??? Neither of these WRs are elite talents and Cooper's VALUE is in the toilet even if he comes close to producing like he did his first two years in the league.
I'm a huge believer that Barkley is extremely overrated in terms of his price tag but did the pendulum suddenly swing this far back? This is like trading two other picks in the top 5 for 1.01 and with the myriad of threads out here saying not to do so (including multiples asking about 1.02/1.03), it's ok in this trade...
