Pick 1.02 - Guice or Penny or ???

I know I have seen this topic discussed a couple times, but wanted to get some more recent perspective on it. I pick at 1.02 (Along with 1.07/1.08/1.11) and am leaning towards Guice... Any thoughts or counters to why i should go Penny or someone else??

I'd still go Guice. Reports out of Seattle have me more worried- don't think Carson is just going to roll over. Seahawks are known for going with the best player regardless of draft capital or FA $$- See Wilson.

I like Sony too. I'd have them Guice, Sony Penny.

Whatever you do, don't go Penny. Guice or Michel for sure. If you are leaning Guice, then go Guice.

Penny is the least talented of the three, the Seahawks have an ATROCIOUS offensive line, and Penny can't pass block. He's the least talented RB pass blocker.

Penny for me, and its an easy decision. Volume will be there and Penny will COW that backfield.
Im sure by week 8 you could trade Penny for 2 of Guice if needed.

Guice is my guy. Hes very talented and putting on a show catching passes in Washington. Alex Smith also loves checking down to RBs. So even if Thompson is out there on 3rd down, Guice will still be catching quite a few passes on dump offs, screens ect. The only other player I would consider is Penny due to likely volume. But for me Guice has come full circle. Pre NFL draft/post combine he was behind Chubb. I dug more and really came around. Hes good. Really darn good.

Why do you have Chubb ahead of Michel when Michel was better in college post Chubb injury?

Guice easily. Carson will likely eat into Penny's work load and there's always the Seattle o line. Guice has the best situation behind Barkley imo. I expect plenty of volume with their lack of talent on offense

The reason Penny went before Guice is because of off the field concerns involving Guice. Which btw have been pretty much debunked at this point. The hawks reached on Penny so bad that they had to come out and say teams tried trading for him after the hawks took him. If you believe that I have beach front property in Idaho for sale. If Penny was so coveted why did the hawks trade back? Why did no one try trading up? As I mentioned above Penny is the only RB I would consider at 2 if I wasnt sold on Guice. So its not like I hate the guy. But I wont let draft capital completely destroy what I felt pre draft.

Um..so did Michel, Chubb, Jones and Johnson. A bunch of teams passed on guice.

Penny for me. Seattle’s o-line will be better this year and I had Penny 1.02 before the draft.

I’d also consider RoJo before Guice.

I know its dynasty, but we all react to whatever happens in season pretty quickly. I think Washington is going to struggle all season and produce very little fantasy goodness.

Yes very astute. Guice was the 7th RB off the board. If you recall during the draft Mayock even said that there was some ongoing investigation into Guice that was highly embarrassing. But nothing came of it. How about teams passing on Guice to take someone they might view as 75-80% of Guice without the headaches?

Seems fairly reasonable to conclude this was likely the case more so than Guice was evaluated as the 7th most talented RB in the class.

Dont get cute. Take Guice or Penny.
