At 1.08 Freeman or Kerryon?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

At 1.08 Freeman or Kerryon?

Postby crip7300 » Mon Jun 04, 2018 8:54 pm

So I know the top 6 RB are going with the top 6 picks and if DJ Moore isn't at 1.08, I will probably have to choose between Freeman and Kerryon. I think Freeman has a clearer path to immediate production but Kerryon may have a longer, more productive career as he is younger and has alot less wear and tear on him. Let me know who you would take and why? Thanks in advance.

Kerryon by a lot for me. Freeman looks like one of the Jaggiest RBs I've seen in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft in recent years. Takes him so long to get up to speed.

Kerryon Johnson for me. They drafted new parts for the offensive line, and the new head coach has a defensive mindset, which usually results in teams running the ball more often.

Freeman was taken in the 3rd round, 30 selections after Kerryon. There's a reason why Freeman stayed on the board for each team to pass on him one more time.

This doesn't mean I think Freeman will bomb. I think both guys have a good chance to be successful. You might be agonizing over nothing.

Freeman. I've seen him play more than any other rookie RB, and I'm a true believer. I got him at 1.09 in a draft a few weeks ago and was elated.

I think Freeman will excel quicker with the Bronco blocking scheme.

Freeman for sure. He was the more talented back pre-draft. He's in the better situation between the two, and he's perfect for the blocking scheme that the Broncos run. The Lions are just a black hole of mediocrity. Freeman has less competition as well. I like Freeman way more this year and I like him more long term.

its close. KJ, the guy who led the SEC in rushing, is much more talented but Detroit can't get this running the ball thing down.
