Been scouting this guy hard , love everything I see , missed tackles, yards after contact, receiving , durability, built for the Seahawks.

I'm debating taking him at 1.02... .5 ppr

Am I crazy? Or just get my guy

Went 1.03 last night in my draft. I think that’s a reasonable spot if he’s your #2

Not crazy. If you've done the work and you think Penny is the right pick then draft him. You aren't the only one who feels this way.

Yeah well I almost killed myself first. They both have things going for them. Penny will probably outscore Guice right away. But the deciding factors were two fold.

1) Penny is 22, Guice is 20.
2) Guice is one Thompson injury away from the same role as Penny. And as we've seen Thompson always gets injured.

If Penny is your guy go get him. Like I mentioned before, they are in the same tier for me. Penny is a near lock for around 300 touches.

1.01 is too high. Anything else is fair game. I've seen him go 1.02 thru 1.07. It's all a matter of preference.

He's my 1.3. I wouldn't fault anyone taking him at 1.2 although I think that's still solidly Guice's spot

That 2-6 is such a convoluted mess of RBs with Moore sometimes thrown in 4-6.

1.1 is where I call you crazy. Anything back to 7 is fair game. After that is an utter steal with idiot leaguemates

I have the 1.02 as well as 1.05 and 1.07 and I'm having a tough time figuring out who to pick. The fear I've had with Penny is I hear he is a liability on pass protection. Does anyone else have this fear and if not, can you explain please? I'm leaning towards Guice, but really don't know what to do with those other two.

I took him at 1.5, however I would have likely taken him at 1.2 and definitely 1.3, so no I don't think you are crazy.

I believe Penny has the highest ceiling of anyone not named Barkley, however he also has the lowest floor based on what I have read in regards to his work ethic / attitude and his ability to digest a playbook. Throw in that his immediate playing time should be handicapped (can it though with the 1st round investment?) based on his pass blocking prowess or lack there of, and you have the right mix for a rookie to get down on himself. Not a great formula for a kid who already has reported character issues and a rebuilding team with recently lost leadership.

Haha pass protection for a rookie is common though , but I'll agree his ceiling is sky high with all the talk of him catching a boat load of balls in otas

Take Guice at 1.2. He's the safer pick and more consensous 1.2 and it sounds you have worries on Penny anyway. Penny could very well still be available at 1.5 for you. If not, then your preferences of Michel, Chubb, Jones there. 1.7, take any of the remaining top 6 RBs and if all are gone, go DJ Moore or maybe Royce Freeman if you want to triple up on RBs
