This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big Zeke Trade

Postby dynastyaggie » Thu May 24, 2018 9:14 pm

Team in sig. Been offered my Penny, Michel, and Amari Cooper for his Zeke and Devante Parker. I’m on the fence on this. Caught in between having lots of great young rookie talent on my squad and having m’fing Zeke in my backfield. Good idea to cash in on the rookie hype for a known stud like Zeke? What say y’all?

Give me the Cooper side. I don't trust Fat Zeke, and think he will have horrible efficiency this year with a ton of stacked boxes. One dumb decision from being expelled, too. Parker is a bust to me, so I see it more as Penny, Michel and Cooper for Zeke and a mid 2nd (what I could hopefully get for Parker). I hate trades like this, and especially with your team. You are good with what you have. I think this makes your team worse IMO. I think you need to see Cooper's season last year as an outlier. Granted I am higher than him than most around here, but his first 2 years are his floor barring injury with the targets increase he will receive. He was only targeted 96? times last year because he was hobbling around out there. He was targeted about 130 times his first 2 years, and that is his floor for targets in a 16 game outlook with Crabtree gone. Zeke and he 2 consecutive seasons of gaining weight in the off-season worry me. It's hard on the body, and combining that with no receiving threats and Dak at QB, leads me to believe it will be tough sledding. Add the character concerns, vs the 3 you are giving away who are stand up young guys with zero character concerns, and it's a hold for me.

I think value-wise it's close.
But if I had your roster I'd hold what I got. I think 1/2 of Michel/Penny hits, and you still keep Cooper who is going to be forcefed more balls than a Sasha Grey movie.

With having to start 3WR the trade would leave you a bit thin, but being able to start Hunt, Bell, and Zeke is too good to pass up imo. I'd take the trade

Cooper, Penny, Michel for me. I agree with FantasyFreak's floor for Cooper. Penny should be forcefed and should have a solid season. Yes the O line is bad, but come on... Rawls, Lacy, Carson, etc etc etc all are not good NFL RBs. Wilson creates holes with his running and is a great decision maker in-game, I think his skillset plus a marginal increase in productivity from their O line puts Penny's floor around 1200 total yards. Michel's floor is Dion Lewis and his ceiling is ???? If the Pats recognize Brady is getting older and shouldn't throw 50+ times a game every week to preserve him as long as they can, Michel will easily see 20+ carries.
Standard, non-ppr 12 team

WR: Hill, Diggs, AJ Brown, Lamb, D. Smith, Deebo

The Zeke side by a mile. That is an instant accept.

Parker is close to Cooper and Zeke is in the conversation as the best player in all of Dynasty. Can't believe it is even a debate. Shark move to get Zeke for that.
