How Is This Startup Team?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How Is This Startup Team?

Postby Chwf3rd » Wed May 23, 2018 4:57 pm

12 team Superflex PPR league w/ 6pts per passing TD. Starting requirements are: QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/flex/flex/superflex.

QB: Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Sam Darnold, Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Jordan Howard, Tevin Coleman, Carlos Hyde, James White, TJ Yeldon, Mark Walton, Ameer Abdullah, CJ Prosise, Jonathan Williams
WR: Mike Evans, Devonte Adams, Stefon Diggs, Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, John Ross, Taywan Taylor, Geronimo Allison, Willie Snead
TE: Tyler Eifert, Jack Doyle, Adam Shaheen, Tony Fumagali

I'm pretty happy with the team but I underestimated how quickly the RBs dried up and thus that's my clear weakness. However with my strength at QB (if Luck comes back) I think I should have the ability to easily deal one of them for a RB if I need to.
Team 1 - 12 team PPR
QB: MRyan, MJones, CNewton, RFitz
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, JMixon, AJDillon, LMurray, DarWilliams, GBernard
WR: SDiggs, ACooper, BAiyuk, JJones, LShenault, BCooks, KToney, KHamler, VJefferson
TE: JSmith, ISmith, ZErtz

Team 2 - 16 team, PPR, SF
QB: JBurrow, CWentz, ZWilson, Jimmy G
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, BSnell, TGurley, DGuice
WR: JChase, BAiyuk, CSutton, THiggins, JJeudy, JReagor, BEdwards
TE: ISmith, HarBryant, DSample, TTremble

Pretty solid team I like youre qbs especially cuz youre in good shape even if luck doesnt come back. I think youre wr are as good as any. I see a big hole at te but i dont really think eifert will ever play more than a few games in a row with out getting hurt. I think youre rbs are underwhelming but can get the job done. over all B not a B+ not a B- but a B.

I love it. Excellent WR and QB's. Nice upside with Eifert/safety with Doyle. RB's are pretty weak but since you only have to start 2 its not terrible. I think Hyde has a bigger year than people think and Coleman has a solid chance at being a backend RB1 like Mckinnon next year.

It's a 9/10 for me... obviously lack RB quality and depth but that's fine. I'm pretty high on Diggs. Nice team

thats really good idk how you got luck stafford darnold AND adams evans diggs watkins and howard. all those dudes go top 4-5 rounds in any 12 team SF startup i have done. 8 players from a normal top 4 rounds or so is impressive.

your depth is a bit weak but that is a nice top heavy lineup for sure. you stay healthy you will compete, even so you could trade a qb to fill a hole should injury strike.

well done
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp

J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

Looks pretty competitive to me. If Luck comes back healthy and plays well and Darnold is the starter in NY, I'd try to move Ben for a good RB.

Pretty solid. I'd give it a B+ or A- grade. RB depth behind Howard is iffy, and TE could be better, but you can always sell one of your QBs for help at those positions in-season if Luck is back healthy.
Kittles Pox | Championships: 2015, 2017
12-Team PPR | QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DST
QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Melvin Gordon, James Conner, Phillip Lindsay, Tevin Coleman, Boston Scott, Benny Snell Jr.
WR: Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Cooper Kupp, Michael Gallup, Christian Kirk
TE: George Kittle, Travis Kelce | K: Younghoe Koo | DST: SF
PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd

Pretty accurate appraisal. I think you have great depth of qb and enough depth at WR to make a move for another RB during the season.
