Landry for Ridley +

Postby Blueboy » Wed May 23, 2018 10:25 am

Made this trade for my sig team late last night -- thinking I lost out in retrospect. It certainly hurts me as a competitor next year, but I lacked a future 1st or 2nd before this.

Gave: Jarvis Landry
Got: Calvin Ridley, 2019 1st, 2019 2nd

12-team SF, PPR, TE premium, 0.25 PPCarry
1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1SF 4Flex
QB: Mahomes, Fields, Love
RB: Bijan, ETN, Pollard, Achane, Herbert
WR: Kupp, Hill, Metcalf, Ridley, Jeudy, D.J. M, Burks, Hollywood, Wan'Dale
TE: Kyle Pitts, Goedert

Unless its an early first I really really dislike it... but I'm also a Landry supporter

I think this was a clear win for you, but I'm not very high on Landry. I'd say Landry >= Ridley alone.

I like it for you, but I'm not a Landry guy.

I feel you sold very low on Landry particularly in a superflex where Ridley likely goes early 2nd in many conventional 12 team superflex drafts. I value Jarvis 1.2+ but even if he's valued at 1.5ish, I'm not sure you got back enough unless that future 1st will be early.

Wow, some varied responses for sure. I've no experience in tiered leagues so harder for me to comment but I voted the Ridley side. Just think banking on Landry in Cleveland is a little risky. Mayfield could take a year or 2 (maybe more?) to figure things out, Josh Gordon could actually stay the line and cut into Landry's action (some may feel this would open him up and help more than hinder?) and Landry may simply not settle into his new surroundings. There's some risk all around I guess is what i'm saying. Sure, Ridley is unproven, as are the picks, but I think i'm ok with this return.

gordon and landry are complete opposites and wont compete for targets. This was a complete lowball offer for landry sorry.
