Foles Value in SF

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Foles Value in SF

Postby bigbuck22 » Wed May 23, 2018 5:54 am

What is Foles' value in a SuperFlex league?

It remains to be seen what kind of time he'll see this year, but I believe there is greater than a 50% chance he's starting somewhere next season. The new contract signals that he will be a FA and next season's draft doesn't look terribly strong at the position. I have been planning to hold all year, but am also considering packaging him with next year's first to see if I can get a late first this year.

What does everyone think? Thanks!

I don think people value him in his current situation. I'd wait until next offseason when he becomes a starter somewhere.

Could be a Bradford type trade when a QB gets hurt.

Also agree on this. Would like to add to current roster depth at a certain position though as I believe I am a good contender.

It really all depends on where you think your 1st next year will land. I think Foles would have to go into a good situation to be successful...he doesn't have the talent to make the players around him better, he needs the players around him to make him better.

I recently drafted Foles in a Startup between rookie picks 2.06 and 2.07. I also tried to acquire Foles in another league for the 2.12 and was turned down.

I'm holding him in one SF league b/c it's almost a certainty he ends up somewhere else next season at which point the value jumps.

I agree with holding. The potential for a far increased value next year makes it worth holding. He would either need to play really poorly this year in relief or just be in love with the city of Philadelphia in order to not be a starter somewhere next year.

I'd sell for any 2nd, even in superflex. I don't see much success for him outside of PHI.

Most likely he will still be a backup somewhere in 2019 if he isn't still with the Eagles.

He will not be an Eagle next year with a 20 million dollar base salary per the updated contract.

I do not think he has much value right now at all because he will be a backup this year. He may sign elsewhere in 2019, but I'm still unsure of that. Don't think anyone will give you anything of value for him at this point. Best thing is to hold until we know his situation going into next year.
