No brainer?

Postby playa_hata » Mon May 21, 2018 8:34 pm

Superflex league. Would you trade Ty Mont and Jamaal Williams for 19 1st and 192nd? from a playoff team I would be getting the picks. Only thing making me hesitate is that one of these guys if not both could potentially gain a lot of value once the season starts Ty Mont was a top 10 ppr back before the rib injury and Jamaal Williams I must admit im higher on than most. Is this a snap accept trade?

Neither of those guys is the answer long-term. However you are right that one of them may gain value if they string together a few good games in-season. I would only keep them if you intend to flip them, but even still it probably wouldn't be for much more than this so I would just take the safe out here.

Snap accept for me but I am a believer in A. Jones

Sometimes I wonder if I should overpay for Jamaal just to insure myself of getting the #1 back in GB.

I think Jamaal looked great and was a really good starter at rb the second half of last season. Everyone makes the comps between aaron jones but aaron jones was the rb when Rodgers was qb and wasnt facing stacked box. Jamaal was Rb with hundley and had defenses much more focused on him so idk the whole ypc arguement doesnt hold much merit to me. I really like Jamaal more so than aaron jones

Small sample size but Jones had 78 yards off of 11 carries (7.1 YPC) after he came back from his MCL sprain. And that was with Hundley at QB.

I think you take the offer, especially in a superflex league. Monty and williams just dont seem worth the future 1 & 2 to me.

I'd take those picks pretty easily.

I wouldn't give the first for the pair. Aaron Jones is the best back on that team. Williams is the backup. Montgomery carries very little value as he's neither an RB or WR starting talent.

I would disagree with this Ty mont is a great pass catching back and in PPR puts up numbers

That backfield is a committee. I don't think either of those guys are going to be used by their team in a "Bell Cow" type role, and nor should they be. I do like Jones more, however.

If one gains value the other is likely to drop. I think you are cashing in early on what is probably their combined peak.

I'd happily take the picks. Williams is worth a mid 2nd, and Montgomery a late 2nd. I'd take the 2019 1st alone over them.

I'd take that pretty quickly, especially in superflex
