OBJ trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

OBJ trade

Postby vixen » Mon May 21, 2018 5:14 pm

i would like to try to get OBJ in my league 2

i have a lot of depth, and the team that owns OBJ needs a RB (i beat him in the super bowl) and has picks 1.11, 1.12, 2.11, 3.11 etc

it should also be noted that this league has never sent multiple 1sts for any player..
most anyone paid was probably: this is a 1QB league btw
CMC for Eli, Trubisky, Tevin and 2018 1st and
Gordon for Henne, Ware, Marvin Jones and 2018 1st

so with that in mind
do i have the depth to send
Freeman and Arob for OBJ....
i kinda want to try to keep my 1st...but as i type this, i think probably Freeman and 1.10 is probably better for my team... the question is: can i afford to send all three players if needed? i will not be able to replace Freeman in the draft (and probably not next year either)

before trade
Luck
DJ, Freeman
Hopkins, Arob, Diggs
last flex: two of McKinnon, Watkins, Parker, Crowell,

after trade
Luck
DJ, McKinnon
Hopkins, OBJ, Arob, Diggs
last flex: one of Watkins, Parker, Crowell
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

I'd be surprised if Freeman + ARob + 1.10 landed OBJ, so chances of just Freeman + ARob seem close to statistical zero

I definitely would not package the pick as well with Freeman/ARob, and while the offer of Freeman/ARob might be close, I like the possibility of ARob making a return as top 10 WR and keeping Freeman, especially if Coleman leaves next year.

yeah, that is the dilemma... i would definitely be praying that mckinnon lives up to the paycheck...
i would, however, try to send Freeman and 1.10 first...

you would think, but
this league has not "overpaid" for any player trade yet... another example May 15, 2017 trade
give: L Bell and Kevin White
get: Fuller and 2017 1.02

the only thing is that the player with OBJ is also a top 3 team...so he may want to be blown away by a trade (i don't blame him)...just not sure i would be willing to overpay...

If you could swing OBJ for Arob and Freeman, that would be the robbery of the century.
If I am him I'd probably be asking for DJ and Arob

I'd try Freeman and Arob as well and see if that would be enough.

would you be comfortable with McKinnon as your RB2?

With that team, I don't think it'll matter who your RB2 is. But there's still plenty of time to figure that out if you want to upgrade the position.
