Dez trade
Just picked up dez for what I think will be a mid 2019 2nd. Good deal or bad deal? Dont really need him as wr1 or 2 but he latches on somewhere good I think he be a productive and start in a pinch still.
What do you think?

Hate for Dez has gone WAY to far...His QB was bleep last year...Picking him up for a 2nd. is a steal...Especially if he ends up in the right situation...

Re: Dez trade
I agree people need to sit down for 10 mins and watch all the passes Dak threw to him and tell me if Julio could have did better , And watch his highlights he still has the skills , Probably the one of the most powerful WR in football still just a beast , Runs through DBs , Burns them on comeback catches. You give him Ben with AB type targets he will put up top 3 numbers. The Showstopper wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 3:27 pm Hate for Dez has gone WAY to far...His QB was bleep last year...Picking him up for a 2nd. is a steal...Especially if he ends up in the right situation...
He is a knucklehead and gives up on plays but wouldn't you if your QB threw high over the middle to get you crushed or threw the ball 10 feet over your head on sideline passes or throw the ball in the dirt on comebacks every time you went out for a pass.

Re: Dez trade
I don't like the trade for you.
Realistically I see his absolute ceiling as a WR2 next season, and I kinda doubt he even hits that.
Going with the scenario he does hit as a WR2, why do you need to spend a 2nd round pick on him?
You have four WRs who are WR2 or better and for depth you have Kupp, CD, AND Moore.
I don't want to sound harsh but I think it was a waste, unless you can find a buyer if he does hit on a team. Even then I doubt you'll get more than a 2nd in return.

Re: Dez trade
I guess the value is good, but the longer he goes unsigned, the more I worry. I'm just not sure he goes to a situation where it favors him. There are very few teams that have elite QBs, as well as need at the WR position where Dez would automatically become the starter.
Re: Dez trade
I'm trying to remember, what happened to T.O. or Randy moss? They just disappeared. After turning down the Ravens, I wouldn't b surprised if he is done.
Re: Dez trade
I would take the 2019 second.

Re: Dez trade
I'm a big fan of Dez, but I wouldn't trade a 2nd for him. Recent history strongly points to him being not worth that value this year.

Re: Dez trade
Why does the fact that Dallas released him due to declining play keep getting lost in this forum and all the blame placed on Dak? I don't get it... I like Dez, but he's not the same WR he was before his injuries. This pick is max value.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Re: Dez trade
X2 ... his release from Dallas went from a good thing to bad over the last 6 weeks. I dont think he signs before camp starts. If that’s the case, how does he get any chemistry with his new QB?Goddard wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 4:17 pm I guess the value is good, but the longer he goes unsigned, the more I worry.
