What would it take to deal Michael Thomas?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which side would you rather have?

What would it take to deal Michael Thomas?

Postby Markdavis3033 » Mon May 21, 2018 4:15 am

I’ve turned down the last two offers from the owner in my 12 team ppr dynasty league but he just won’t give up trying to get Michael Thomas. His assets are limited and my team is coming off of an undefeated season, so part of me doesn’t feel the need to make any move. On the other hand, piling up depth and assets is the way that I’ve been able to shift some pieces around to construct the roster that I currently have, so part of me thinks that it’s a good move to get a good amount of value for a stud like Thomas.

Recently, the owner offered:
Allen Robinson, Royce Freeman, and Hunter Henry for Thomas.

The owner has since gotten cold feet and is debating between dealing Stefon Diggs or Allen Robinson

I’m not a huge Robinson fan, but there’s no telling what he could be this year. Henry is another interesting case with gates finally out of the way. Freeman is another piece that could be interesting...

Do I take this deal, look to make a better move, or just refuse to give up Thomas?

Here’s a list of the only pieces that I’d even remotely be interested in:

RBs
Royce Freeman
Melvin Gordon

WRs
Robinson
Diggs
Funchess

TEs
Henry
George Kittle

Here’s my roster:
Start 11 on offense (including a kicker and punter)

QBs (start 2):
Brady
Jimmy G
Josh Allen
McCarron

RBs (start 3-5):
Devonta Freeman
CMC
Dion Lewis
Ingram
Matt Breida

WRs (start 3-6)
Thomas
Larry Fitz
Chris Hogan
Amari Cooper
Randall Cobb
Keke Coute

TEs (start 1-2):
Gronk
Jared Cook

With that team I'd take the trade. I think going undefeated last season was an aberration. Yeah, I'd take it pretty easily.

He’s starting to get cold feet. Now he’s adamant that the deal includes Diggs in place of Robinson

I'd ask for Robinson and Diggs plus Henry instead of Royce freeman, Or switch or Royce for Melvin. Behind MT you've got a ton of question marks at WR....rolling out arob and cooper could pay off but its also a huge risk, we know for a fact barring injury michael thomas is a top 10 WR next year. Cooper and Arob have that ceiling but a much much lower floor as we've seen in the past.

I would rather Diggs than Robinson personally. The deal is a runaway regardless. Take it and run.

I'd take the old or new deal for that team.

You must not have played Cooper much last year...He lost numerous weeks for people by himself last year...
