Nearly done drafting my first dynasty team: how’d I do?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Really good job especially for a first dynasty. With Wilson you don't need to think about QB for many years.

Cook is going to be a star in this league, Lynch should help this year and having Martin was a good idea, Cohen, Johnson, White and Clement are all going to be guys who put up solid numbers and have real value in PPR leagues, especially full PPR like yours. Cohen for example will be great at doing this.

Evans will bounce back this year, Funchess is under rated as a WR1 for the Panthers and although not convinced by Benjamin, he is still the main guy for the Bills. I like Cobb's prospects in Green Bay with Nelson away and only really rookies behind him. Washington will be a star, given time.

Then Ertz is a top 3 TE in a very difficult position to find one of the best, in many ways, it's the toughest as there aren't many elite ones and he certainly is.

Well done!

I like how you got a lot of value by nabbing Duke and Tarik, they will be excellent flex players for years. I hate your WR's....Evans was a great get in the back of the 1st but Kelvin is quite literally fat and slow....Funchess all of the sudden is going to have a lot of competition this year with Olsen back, CMC taking a step forward and now DJ Moore in the mix. Love Ertz and I think he actually takes another step forward this year.

Would have gone WR instead of Ertz personally, outside of Cook/Evans at RB/WR both positions look very weak

I will add that I would have waited on QB as well...not sure when you drafted Wilson, but I would bet there were other position players I would have rather had on my team...

that team is pretty bad and that trade was not too smart, a random first next year (could end up being 12th pick for all you know) wont help you more than a starting caliber player now (i would guess someone like a Doctson, Parker, collins, howard, njoku, etc could have been had around this spot, require little or no wait to develop, and can be plugged right in to a flex spot at worst)

too often people think "oh a first next year could be Barkely!" when it could also be the next wait and pray prospect. Later in the start up thats a fine move but when you start 10 players and you give up your 9th selection you are quite literally giving up a projected starter (for your fantasy team) in order to wait a year and hope the team you traded with finishes poorly.

I'm not a huge fan of that trade either but I saw someone trade away their 6.12 and 7.01 pick for 2019 1sts so its not as bad as that

Outside your big names of Wilson, Cook, Evans, and Ertz I just see a bunch of flex players and lower-end lottery tickets. Sorry man, but that roster leaves a lot to be desired all around.

With it being a start up and if your other owners haven't played dynasty before you can get a jump on them. This forum / site is a great tool to use. I'd say after the first few week and if your falling out of contention I'd start a mini rebuild . I'd look to a team needing help for the stretch run and basically sell off anyone not named Wilson, Cook, Evans or Ertz. Load up on youth and draft picks. A solid draft next season could help you out and make you close to a contender.

The Good: You're set at QB. And soon you'll realize you'll have to sell 1/2 in order to strengthen your weaknesses.
The Bad: You can't rely upon Funchess, Lynch, and Kelvin to be your starters. Duke will likely be your RB2. WR2&3 may not be so easy to find on your bench.
The Ugly: Doug Martin and Danny Amendola are fantasy irrelevant. They should have never been drafted. Those two along with Marshawn will likely be out of the league by 2020.
Brief Analysis: You don't even many wild-card players on your team that could have sleeper seasons with good fortune. The majority of your team is what it is. It's not 2014 with your veteran players, we know what they are and most of them will not be on the rosters of winning teams this year or future years in dynasty. As for the youth on your team; I don't see much potential. I do like the fact that you targeted RB with receiver skills but your WR depth is horrendous.

I'd be very surprised if your team isn't in the bottom 3. It's unfortunate but you're likely going to have to rebuild by trading studs like Evans, Ertz, Cook, and Wilson.

The team is balanced, but average. With the WRs taken, i would have expected 1 more top tier RB.

i actually don't hate selling a 9th round pick for a future 1st...according to adp on this site players in the 108-120 range are winston, edelman, KB (on his roster), crowell, anthony miller

i don't think his team is terrible...it always seems that after a startup, many teams have holes to fill...

Wilson, Cook, Evans, and Ertz are great, but you're lacking depth behind them.
