Go back and watch in Gordon's big year how many plays were drags and slants on crossing routes for big plays vs them being where he just flat out flew by guys deep. I had him and watched every week.
What I'm saying is he won't be top five ...Not that he won't score 225-240 in PPR. Just won't score 300 like Antonio / Nuk .
Edit: For the record I consider 275 + elite in PPR
Josh Gordon
Re: Josh Gordon
Isn’t that easier and more consistent catches and chances for a big play?cazzie33 wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 1:52 pm Go back and watch in Gordon's big year how many plays were drags and slants on crossing routes for big plays vs them being where he just flat out flew by guys deep. Re: Josh Gordon
Yea, if you're still explosive enough to beat them across the field and turn the corner down the sidelines. And if they are doing everything in their power to get you in those situations.Rosenbluu wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 1:56 pmIsn’t that easier and more consistent catches and chances for a big play?cazzie33 wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 1:52 pm Go back and watch in Gordon's big year how many plays were drags and slants on crossing routes for big plays vs them being where he just flat out flew by guys deep. I don't think either of those are going to be at the same level as the past. For those who think that will be the case I say good luck. Conversation I started was saying that the poster who said nothing less than 1.01 or two mid 1st rds was equal value must be partaking in some herbal supplements if he thinks Josh is still worth those prices.
Edit Part Deux: Over / Under @ 275 PPR...What side are you taking ?

Well yeah that’s just clownary, he very well may be worth the 1.01 next year depending on his seasoncazzie33 wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:04 pmYea, if you're still explosive enough to beat them across the field and turn the corner down the sidelines. Agreed, but when you add in his inherent risk of suspension I don't think he's bringing back anything more than a mid -first @ best in the best case scenario.

Re: Josh Gordon
I think you've got a level minded opinion of Gordon, especially his inherent risk and no I don't think he'll put up 1,600 yards....not many WR not named Julio or Antonio can be counted on anymore than 1,200 yards and I think Gordon is in the 1,200-1,400 yard range on 80 receptions. My only disagreement is I've watched Gordon over the years and I just can't agree with you as far as him losing a step, I just didn't see it sorry.cazzie33 wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:14 pm "Well yeah that’s just clownary, he very well may be worth the 1.01 next year depending on his season"

I'm with you. Per game average of 5-81.3-.5.
I don't see the lost step at all. His first TD when he came back last year, I was pretty sure the ball was overthrown, and he showed burst and catch radius to snag it. Vs. Green Bay pretty sure. He's still got it. Still an elite talent.
Obviously, a puff away from never playing again.
My opinion is he's worth a late first, perhaps a mid.
Re: Josh Gordon
Exactly where I have him, I've tried all off season to move him for the 1.04-1.06 for team 1 in sig and finally got the 1.08 team to bite on the clock, I only traded it because my 1.02 was still on the board in rashaad pennyFezzik wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 8:28 amI'm with you. Re: Josh Gordon
So would you rather have Josh or Landry? My WR’s are pretty good so I’m thinking of offering Landry for Gordon strictly on upside...
Re: Josh Gordon
Trade that happened in my league last night...
Gordon/2.1
for
1.5
Gordon/2.1
for
1.5
Re: Josh Gordon
I traded Gordon for 1.11 and 1.12 on draft day, was pretty darn happy with that return.
Re: Josh Gordon
I'd take Gordon. Jarvis has been peppered with targets because they've never had a solid catching RB or let alone a solid #1 WR on the team since parker is trash. Jarvis is a solid WR for the NFL but with that pathetic yards per catch he has he literally requires Antonio brown target #s just to reach 1,000 yards.... imagine if his TDs return to his career avg next year of 5 and his receptions go down to around 95? 95/900/5 thats not a WR1 stat line. The Showstopper wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 8:47 am So would you rather have Josh or Landry?
