Hyde Vs. Collins

Postby keebs3 » Wed May 16, 2018 1:34 pm

Looking to move Hyde while I can, to the Chubb owner. I love Godwin but Hyde worries me long term.

Would you do this trade for team 2?

Send: Hyde and Godwin
Receive: Collins and Tre'Quan Smith

If you love Godwin I would keep him. I don't like getting rid of players I love if the deal isn't lopsided in my favor.

Sell Hyde when he produces this year still and Chubb takes time to settle into the role.

I think Hyde is more talented than Collins, but in a worse situation. However, Godwin is worth much more than Smith.

Hyde is on a deal where Cleveland can cut him next year at minimal cost, so I think Hyde is a great buy low candidate. In regards to Godwin, I love this guy. He does everything well and has all the tools. It would not surprise me if he actually took lead in targets in Tampa after this season is over.

Evans is a jump ball guy only with questionable hands. No speed, no route running, nothing after the catch.
DJax is not going to be worth the money once Godwin keeps flashing and is ready to move the outside next year.
I would not be a bit surprised to see Godwin as a low end WR1 at the end of the 2019 season.

Curious.. where are all the comments on people that voted for the Collins side??

I feel people vote with their gut then get embarrassed when they see all the comments for the other side, ha!

Thanks all, My instinct says to just hold with what I have, so I probably will.

I actually dont think its that horrible. I think its the godwin part thats tough for alot. Hyde is a must - sell, if possible. Approaching 30 and most likely hitting FA next year. But collins is no garauntee for anything either beyond this year, especially if he is mediocre. In a vacuum -
Collins>Hyde,
Godwin>>>Smith
The difference between godwin and smith is much bigger then collins and hyde IMO. I dont mind getting collins but id attempt to get a better 2nd piece or use a different 2nd piece.

Yeah- I think you nailed it here. I'm seeing if he will swap Sutton in for Smith- or maybe give me a late first for Hyde and Godwin (that I traded him about a month ago in a deal for Dalvin). But, I don't think he'll go for them

*in the meantime- more votes for Collins roles in?!?

He's 26, ageism is selective, bad, foolish, ridiculously out of hand.
How many who think he's "approaching 30" still value Shady. Better, how many still value DJ who, wait for it, is the same damn age.
Going Hyde Godwin. Hyde will be somewhere else, maybe before season starts, and Godwin will be WR2 before end of season.

Yeah, I don’t know why others didn’t comment, but Hyde is overrated & will easily be beaten out by Chubb. As for Godwin, maybe he’s a better WR than Smith, but he won’t overtake Evans, even though a previous post correctly pointed out Evans is all jump balls, they forgot to acknowledge that Winston is a jump ball QB. He doesn’t have the accuracy or ability to read a D well enough to make Godwin consistent. Smith has a QB & system to do that & Meredith hasn’t proven to be all-world yet... or even healthy for that matter.

Carlos is 27 and his bday is in september, so 28 this year. When the browns likely let him go next year he will be a 29 yo FA. Ignoring situation is selective, foolish and ridiculously out of hand.

Godwin is the best player in this deal. The RBs are close.
