Contender or Pretender? (Post-Draft)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Contender or Pretender? (Post-Draft)

Postby Blueboy » Tue May 08, 2018 11:30 am

I'd appreciate feedback on this team. I'm hoping to compete, but may have rose-colored glasses.
12-team Superflex, PPR, TE premium (1.5), 0.25 points per rush attempt.

QB: Rodgers, Bortles, Jackson, Rudolph, Kizer
RB: McCoy, Chubb, Hyde, Gore, McGuire, Martin, McKissic
WR: Julio, Hilton, ARob, Cobb, Hurns, Coleman, Cole, JMatt, Maclin, Z. Jones, Gabriel, Beasley, Amendola, Enunwa
TE: Howard, RSJ, Fleener

Any moves ya'll would suggest to strengthen my roster?

I hate say Pretender here.
QB depth for superflex is a little light here.
Only one solid RB - Chubb and Hyde are combo and who knows about the rest of those backs.
WR - are a stronger point but only if ARob gets back to normal.
TE - If Howard continues to progess you are good here but still a year or two away most likely

This is a middle of the pack team. Most likely will make the playoffs, but no lock on winning it all.

As well I think I would rebuild this team before it's to late. Get max value out of McCoy and Julio on trade market and start setting yourself up for the future.

You have some nice pieces, but I don't think you're quite there. You have a couple of guys who I don't know what to expect out of in Jackson and Chubb, which is why I think you're still a year away.

Thanks, appreciate the advice so far. A year or two does sound right.

Edit: nabbed Rudolph late in my draft, adding him to my QBs makes me look even more towards the next two years.

It's a team right in the middle I think. Contender pieces but not enough of them so technically a pretender. Probably a mid level team with the right luck could sneak into say 3rd or 4th player by end of the season

10 TM .5 PPR, 6 pt all TDs 1/2/3/1/2Flex
Newton, Rivers
LF, Chubb, Michel, Kerryon, Hyde, AJones, Royce F, Crowell

Gronk, HHenry, Engram
1.09, 2.09, 3.09, 4.09, 5.09

Team 2
10 TM 1/2/3/1/1Flex 6pt all TDs .25 PPR RB, .5 PPR WR, 1 PPR TE

Julio, Nuk, Fuller, Cooks, ARob, Watkins, Cooper, SShepard, CDavis, DJ Chark
Kelce, Olsen, Andrews
1.09, 2.09, 3.09, 4.09, 5.09

Team 3
10 team, 0.5 PPR RBs WRs, 1 PPR TEs, Devy Superflex League
