Cooper value (in discussion: 1.02, 1.04, 1.15, plus 2019 picks)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cooper value (in discussion: 1.02, 1.04, 1.15, plus 2019 picks)

Postby Reno McCoy » Fri May 04, 2018 9:25 am

I have the 2018 1.02 and 1.15 for the team in my sig (plus two 3rds and all of my 2019 picks). The owner with the 1.04 is interested in moving up to the 1.02. He has no other picks this season, but he does have Amari Cooper.

I like the RBs this season, so want a chance at grabbing one. But I also need WR help, and think Cooper would go a long way to helping me in that regard. I'm not holding my breath that a good WR will fall to 1.15, but maybe it could happen if QBs start coming off the board.

Would I be better off keeping the 1.02 and 1.15 and snagging a RB (and then hoping Parker, Meredith, or Alison come through for me), or should I find a way to trade for Cooper?

If you like the Cooper side of things, can you imagine a trade (for picks, primarily) in which I can get Cooper and the 1.04? I assume that would be unlikely, but damn if I don't really want one of those RBs.

A couple months back i made a trade sending Mark Ingram off and receiving Amari, Mahomes, and the 2.04. His value seems to be all over the place right now. I definitely think the 1.04 could pull him. Depending on if the owner has really cooled on him, you may be able to get him for even less.

I should add, i made this trade before Alex Smith was traded.

I guess you can start by offering the 1.02 and 1.15 for Cooper and the 1.04, but not sure that would be enough.

This was my opening volley, and he pretty much laughed at it. Which is fine. I was testing to see how highly he valued Cooper. But now the real discussions begin. He's interested. I'm interested. Now we just need to find something that works for both of us.

Perhaps I should use Ingram as part of the deal, like UATahoe is suggesting above.

I'm not sure what the actual offer is in reading this but I would easily move 1.02 + 1.15 for Amari this year.
Team 1 - 12 team PPR
QB: MRyan, MJones, CNewton, RFitz
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, JMixon, AJDillon, LMurray, DarWilliams, GBernard
WR: SDiggs, ACooper, BAiyuk, JJones, LShenault, BCooks, KToney, KHamler, VJefferson
TE: JSmith, ISmith, ZErtz

Team 2 - 16 team, PPR, SF
QB: JBurrow, CWentz, ZWilson, Jimmy G
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, BSnell, TGurley, DGuice
WR: JChase, BAiyuk, CSutton, THiggins, JJeudy, JReagor, BEdwards
TE: ISmith, HarBryant, DSample, TTremble

Not sure I'd give up the 1.02 and 1.15. But that's probably more to do with my love of the RBs.
