Miller++ for Ajayi++

Postby Douce786 » Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:33 pm

For team 1. I currently have 1.4 and 1.11. Owner is interested in trading ajayi for 1.11 but I want to try and unload Miller while I can. Is this trade worth it for me.

Looks fair... I like Miller more than Ajayi, you are getting an upgrade in picks. Pretty much personal preference.

I like Miller and Ajayi both, so this is close. I'd lean towards the Ajayi side because of the pick upgrade.

Yeah I am kind of off the Miller bandwagon. I think ajayi has a chance to be good with a full off season with the team. And the upgrade at pick for similar valued players is a good deal. Are you just throwing in woods cause you dont think he will take Miller by himself. I just noticed woods I this trade I think he is pretty valuable.

Yeah I don't think there is a chance of getting Ajayi and the 1.7 for just 1.11 and Miller that is why I included Woods. I like Woods but only see him filling in for bye weeks and if I can replace him with one of the top receivers with the 1.7 pick I think its an upgrade.

You missed Woods though.

I prefer Ajayi to Miller and the 1.07 to the 1.11 of course...so, I would want the Ajayi side. I am not a big Woods fan moving forward.

Ajayi and 1.7 are the two best pieces in that. Woods over a random 2nd rounder by a hair doesn't make up for that imo

i like the 1.11 side, i prefer miller to ajayi (especially for 2018, eagle ARE drafting a Rb to compete, Texans may but it should be Millers backfield regardless), i also prefer Woods to a 2nd (unless maybe 2.01 but even then i dont see a player stepping into a role like Woods has, not right away at least

opinion on the value difference of 1.07 and 1.11 could change after friday

I am curious why you think that Houston is Miller's backfield and less risky against a rookie than Philly's, given that Philly generally increased Ajayi's usage down the stretch and he played well for them, while Houston literally benched Miller down the stretch even though their only alternative was a bad running back that they had already seen plenty of.

It's surprising to me how many people are willing to just overlook that Miller was benched for Alfred Blue down the stretch. The Texans have three 3rd round picks and anyone they took there would instantly be better than Blue.

Miller and Ajayi are both underwhelming replacement level RBs, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're both either replaced in the draft or phased out entirely within a couple of years. I'd suggest going after a different RB than Ajayi.

With that said, I think you're selling short on Woods. He should be a target hog again in LA this year, and I could see him finishing as a solid high end WR2.

In my eyes, Ajayi = Miller, and Woods holds way more value than merely a bridge-gapper from the 1.11 to the 1.07. I'd argue Woods is worth a late first on his own. 2019 2nd is meaningless.

Seems like an unpopular opinion, but I'd either hang on to what you have, or try and go after a different RB completely.

Finalized the deal and it ended up being 1.11 for Ajayi. Hoping now Philly doesn't draft a running back at 32 and that either Ajayi or Miller start the season strong and I can move one of them.

Ajayi side easy for me, don’t value Miller much and think Cooks greatly cuts into Woods’ targets.
