McKinnon for Baldwin trade offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

McKinnon for Baldwin trade offer

Postby DaHoodie83 » Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:48 am

For the team in my signature, I was offered the trade below. I know the McKinnon hype has been strong, but I’m a little nervous about him. However, my lack of RB depth is making me hesitant to move McKinnon. While he’s soon to be 30, I feel like Baldwin can be a strong producer for a couple more seasons. I’m light on 2018 draft picks, too. Any thoughts?

The Baldwin side wins on value, but for your team I don't think helps you near as much. If possible, I'd wait to see where Barkley goes. If he goes to Cleveland, I don't think I'd make this trade as that would leave you with just DJ as a reliable RB option.

I wouldn't make this trade. Like someone else said, Mck insulates you from Barkley going to Cleveland and killing Hydes value. Also I don't really expect Baldwin to outproduce either of Mck or Matthews by a huge margin (maybe 2-4 more pts per game...maybe). NTM if you trade for Baldwin now, you're basically committing to letting him retire on your squad. I wouldn't make the deal, or at least, not until after the draft if you're really nervous about Mck.

i would be trying to trade the 1.06 for a WR

you look like a high end wr away from being a legit contender
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

I prefer Baldwin, but I'm not sure it makes that much sense for your team. I'd rather move McKinnon for another RB that you like or at least package him with something else for a better RB.

This and maybe even hold tight to see how high the value of the 1.6 will go for you

Baldwin side for me. You know his targets will be there so a decent floor. Baldwin has Wr1 locked n loaded as of now on a depleted WR core in Hawks country

I like the idea of packaging McKinnon with something else for a better RB. Any ideas about which RBs to target? Packaging McKinnon with Carlos Hyde and/or the 1.06 might be interesting. This probably won’t get me close to the top tier guys, but I’ll take a look at those 2nd and 3rd tier guys who might be more secure options than McKinnon. This is a tough league to make trades, but I’ll see what options are out there.

Tough to move McKinnon with your team, but Baldwin is going to eat this year. Value is on Baldwin side, no doubt.

WR: Jefferson, Adams, Metcalf, Godwin, Ridley, Lockett, Cooks
TE: Kittle, Njoku, Gesicki

Team 2
12-team, PPR | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX

QB: Wilson, Jones
RB: Robinson, Gibbs, Mixon, Sanders, R. White
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Lockett, Addison, D. Johnson, Meyers, Campbell, R. Moore
TE: Kincaid, Dulcich, Fant
