Find a trade or just draft rookies.

In a 10 team, $150 salary cap, idp league. Rookie contracts are $6 for a 1st rounder and a dollar less each round after that and all rookies can be signed for a max 5 years. I have 1.03,1.06,2.09,4.06,5.06,6.06,7.06. I have a mind to just get what I can out of the draft but am curious if I would be better served trying to trade for a top tier rb or wr. Team in sig. you need RB's terribly...in a 10 team league don't see you competing w that lineup....one guy doesn't fix that team you need as many picks as you can get.....so draft and as best you can and scour the waiver wire....probably better guys out there than on your roster.....

I think you're more than one top tier RB or WR away, so I'd at least use first 2 or 3 picks and draft players. The later picks probably won't get you much (unless there are a lot of free agents available in your rookie draft), so I wouldn't mind packaging some of them to either move up in the draft and go after players you like, or trade them for more proven players or guys with upside.

Well free agents are separate from rookies,free agents are always up for bid once free agency starts. They go to the highest bidder. That is why I dumped some of my bigger cap hits. Traded away dez, and Gordon, and dropped Jackson, Matthew's, and a couple high priced defensive players I didnt need. I think I can snatch a 2nd tier rb in free agency there are a few out there: like hyde, McKinnon etc. My plan was to go rb, wr in the first two picks, but then I thought it might be better to package one of the 1st rd picks for a more proven guy. I couldn't decide so I wanted to see what other people thought.
