Martavis or Hurns

Nothing crazy just coming down to the last players in start up im debating between hurns or martavis ... kinda leaning towards martavis.
My wide receivers are Mike Thomas, Funchess, Crowder, Kupp, Woods, Marquise Goodwin.

I prefer Hurns but I'm sure there will be plenty voting for Martavis. I just don't trust him. He supposedly got himself cleaned up last off season and was supposed to be the amazing talent. Instead he was a bit of a head case and lost his job (more or less). It wouldn't surprise me at all if he remains as little more than a background player for the time he's still with the Steelers. This assumes you will be playing one of the two this season and looking at your WR corps, you will almost certainly be at that point. If this is strictly about future value, then take Bryant.

I love Hurns' situation in Dallas... I would put him slightly ahead of Martavis

Hurns for me. I just don’t really trust Bryant and there’s so many mouths to feed in Pittsburgh.

Martavis for me, never been a huge Hurns believer and I think Martavis is an excellent bounce-back candidate. Still, I think its mostly a matter of preference in their current situations, Hurns is currently like the only WR Dallas has left so its a decent opportunity for him but I just think Martavis will be better overall in the long-run.

I'd go with the upside of Bryant over the floor of Hurns especially considering your current receivers. Then hold until at least next offseason even if he doesn't get much playing time in anticipation of the inevitable perceived value bump when he signs elsewhere. That is, if he makes it that long without league discipline for another screw-up.

I know this makes no sense, but I somehow agree with literally everyone else in this thread. Haha. If you’re looking for a safe bye week fill-in with a higher floor, you take Hurns. If you’re looking to swing for the fences, you take Martavis and cross your fingers that he behaves himself off the field. With your WR corps, I’d probably lean towards Martavis. You have plenty of “safe,” high floor WR3 types. I think you can afford to take a chance on Martavis. Worst case scenario, you missed out on Allen ho-hum Hurns. Even if Martavis failed a drug test next week, I seriously doubt you’re gonna lose much sleep over that minor blunder.

Hurns. Better situation for this year, regardless of what happens in draft. Better history. No (knock on wood) league violations; at least not that I recall.
