What to do with 1.06

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What to do with 1.06

Postby Triton85 » Fri Apr 20, 2018 1:06 pm

So i'd like to think I have a team that actually may be able to compete this year, specially adding Guice into the mix... so right now I'm looking at 3 scenarios prior to our draft on what do at 1.06

Option 1: (My least favorite) - have been offered Dez straight up for 1.06... while the depth would be nice, I don't think this does it for me
Option 2: Draft player - most likely Penny/Rojo/Moore would be available as options
Option 3: Commish of the league has a mid-level team at the moment but isn't picking until the 3rd round - his team is listed below. He's offered 2019 1st and 2019 3rd (he knows this isn't enough) and is open to counters. I'm liking the patriots method of always having additional picks in upcoming drafts.. with this option, whats a counter you'd make that includes 2019 1st

Commish's team:
Qb: Goff, Cousins
Rb: Mckinnon, White, CJA, Gore, Perine, Martin
Wr: Cooper, AJG, DT, Diggs, Lee, Parker
Te: Doyle

i mean, do you have to make a decision right now....
Dez is out...not even a consideration for me
i would not give up a mid round pick this season for a random pick next season, that team does not look bad...the best team does not always win the super bowl...i won with Stanton, Mike Davis, Sammy Watkins and CJ Anderson...
i would keep the pick and either look to move down or make a pick...it is impossible right now to figure out who to take...after the top 2, it is a matter of landing spots for me...
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D

Dez option is terrible.

Not a bad idea to wait until you're OTC, someone may drop or an offer could come your way too good to pass up.

The commissioner's offer is not good. I'd maybe try McKinnon and the '19 1st for 1.06. Or try for one of AJ, Cooper or Diggs.

Yea, he’s brought it up before and is kicking the tires again, I’ve tried for McKinnon but the players listed he really doesn’t want to part with

He’s feeling the need for a rb, ideally I want to trade my 2.02 for a 2019 1st but I don’t think that’d fly

This should absolutely fly. Just do the 2.02 + '19 3rd for a '19 1st if they aren't biting straight up.

I'd ask for DT and a future 1st if you can pull that off. Some people view DT as barely a late 1st value, so you might be able to pull that off. If not, just take bpa, whoever that may be after the draft.

You got a nice looking team there. Any chance of moving from 1.02 to 1.01? I’d give all the rest of your picks to move up and add Barkley to that roster.

I feel your pain. I have the 1.06 this year too. I agree with seeing if he will throw in DT from what I have seen people aren't valuing him very high and I think with the QB upgrade he can be back to top 10 if not top 5 in wr ranks this year

Sit, wait, and see where the players end up post-draft. The dumbest thing you could do right now is trade away picks in deals like this. Picks > old player value. If you're patient, your picks will gain in value and you may be able to bet more.
