Jordan Howard in pics

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

The guy that has 1.04 and 1.05 sent me this now.

Give: J Howard + 2.05
Get: 1.05 + 2.04
The 2nds are meaningless, J Howard is definitely better than the 1.5 by a late first or very early 2nd (preferably get a roster hole filled as an add in)

What's the 1.03 guy saying? That's where Howards value is closest to
1.03 guy hasn’t responded yet...ironically I already had his 1.03 but traded him back for D Martin 1.03 for C Davis and his 2019 first.

So basically I would be asking him for 1.03 back. Honestly would love to jump to 1.03 right in front of Mr 1.04 and 1.05 guy.

This is about where I’m at as well. It’s encouraging that the other owner is at least interested in Howard, so I’d at least try for 1.04. Maybe try Howard & 2.01 for 1.04 & 2.04. But don’t get too cute. You wanna get this deal done before day 2 of the NFL draft, so if he won’t budge on the 1.04, I’d take the 1.05/2.04 for JH/2.05 deal and be pretty happy with it.

Curios why you say that, I don’t see the bears taking an rb on day 2, fan base might kill someone if that happens considering the other holes that they have along with having one of the best rob tandems in the league. They need help at guard, a 3rd wr/developmental guy, lb, edge, and another corner I think.

That's terrible. I wouldn't even respond. He thinks a one spot upgrade in the second round is going to get you to move Howard for the 1.05? There is zero incentive to make that move.

x2 I dont even know if I'd trade Howard for the 1.5 and 2.4 alone

Because I think he’s in serious danger of falling victim to the same fate he dealt Jeremy Langford less than two years ago. He was a 5th round pick by the previous regime, so the Bears don’t really have a ton of draft capital invested in him. He’s a one-dimensional plodder who’s an outright liability as a receiver. I agree that day 2 would be early for the Bears to draft his replacement, but better safe than sorry.

I’m just trying to be pragmatic. I believe this is the back end of his sell-high window. Most owners drafted him with an early/mid 2nd two years ago. So to sell for the offer above would be getting a full round upgrade on that original 2016 2nd, in addition to the low end RB1 and high end RB2 seasons he’s already given you.

On a bit of a side note, I also find it strange that so many people believe Howard is worth a top 3-4 rookie pick, yet hardly anyone on these boards seems to think that Lamar Miller is even worth the 1.12 (with the notable exception of skip). They were separated by a whopping six PPR points last year (less than .4 PPG) and both appear to be in danger of losing their starting jobs this season.

Of course my advice is based on the assumption that the OP actually drafted Howard two years ago. If you bought him at full value last offseason for the 1.03-1.04 or something of equivalent value, then I can certainly see the logic in not wanting to cash out for less a year later. If that’s the case, I could understand holding and crossing your fingers, but I still think there’s a pretty decent chance that a year from now, you’d be wishing you’d just taken the 1.05.

Howard gets volume and is a great inside runner who scores fantasy points and I don't think you can get that cheap. However his overall profile reminds me of Alfred Morris so he's a scary buy. Give me Howard in redraft all day long though.
